You have a very nice specs in your laptop, but you may have a missing driver for your video card. If the driver for your video card is missing, the display will be slow, and you'll even see the pages changing like papers turning. To resolve this, you'll have to install the video drivers. Try looking for your installation CD that came along with your laptop.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Presumably you see items on the screen while the os is loading and you are able to see the login prompts?
If this is a windows OS start it up in safe mode (tap f8 when first turned on to get a boot menu) to see what happens. Sounds like a resolution issue. If windows opens in safe mode look for evrror messages in the system logs relating to graphics gards or look at lowering the graphics resolution, also try attaching an external monitor. Post back if you get stuck

A FEW THING TO DO DEFRAG THE DRIVE MORE THAN YOU ARE DOING NOW, IF YOU DO ONCE A MONTH YOU MAY MAY WANT TO DO IT 1 TIME WEEK.

IN YOUR COMPUTER IS A SECTION IS FOR PERFORMACNE ENHANCEMENTS, OR IMPROVING SYSTEM CHECK AND OPERATIONAL ERRORS AND LOGS, THESE LOGS ARE GETTING LARGE AND STORING UP INFORMATION AND SLOWING DOWN THE SYSTEM AND PERFORMANCE.

GO INTO CONTROL PANEL LOOK FOR PERFORMANCE FOLDER
VIEW PERFORMANCE DETAILS IN EVENT LOG
OPEN FOLDER THE FOLDER SHOULD SAY
EVENT VIEWERS
GO TO FILE AND OPEN IT
OPEN OPTIONS
DISK CLEAN UP
DELETE FILES YES
OKAY

OPEN ACTION
CLEAR LOGS

REBOOT SYSTEM

MAKE SURE YOU DEFRAG THE DRIVE AFTER CLEARING ALL LOG ENTERS BECAUSE ITS GOING TO CHANGE THE PERFORMANCE OF THE SYSTEM

By default Windows XP displays the Graphic login screen with icons and usernames at startup.

If you would like to use the more traditional Windows NT login screen you can get to that screen by pressing Ctrl Alt Del (Reboot key sequence) twice.

If you would like to change to the traditional screen at login, instead of the graphic login screen, do the following:
  1. Log in with administrator access.
  2. Click on Start, Control Panel, and select user accounts.
  3. Click on Change the Way Users Log On or Off.
  4. Click on the Box "Use the Welcome Screen" so that there is not check mark.
If you would like to switch from the traditional login screen to the more graphic screen just click on the box in step 4 above so the "Use the Welcome Screen" box is checked
