I have a 2000 4x4 suburban it says service 4x4. I already replaced the switch and the transfer case acuator with the encoder. It still says service 4x4 and it feels like it is in 4x4 when i give a slow...

When you remove the encoder motor, you should be able to manually shift the transfer case. If all is working manually and it "comes out" of 4wd, you may need to have the TCCM reprogrammed.

I have a 98 Chevy Silverado with the push button 4x4. The last time I used it it worked fine but when I tried to put it back in 2wd I have a nasty vibration, like its not disengaged or something?

These have a solenoid located on the transfer case that are bad about sticking or shorting out leaving the transfer case stuck in 4WD. Check it first. 12_24_2012_4_51_13_pm.png

1991 F150 stuck in 4x4 low

chk the linkage under the truck for any foriegn objects. block the tires and have a friend put light pressure on the shifter while you lightly tap the linkage.

I have a 1999 Chevy which is stuck in 4x4

If it's electronic 4x4, check the wire to the 4x4 sensor that should be located behind the front differential. If this wire is unhooked or broken, then it will keep it from shifting out of 4wd. Otherwise I would check to make sure there is adequate fluid in both the transfer case and front differential. Good luck
