Question about Disney Cars 12Inch Boys BMX Bike by Huffy

1 Answer

My son has a 16-inch Disney Cars bike from Huffy. The training wheels keep coming loose after he rides for about 5 minutes. We switched the sides and they continue to be a problem. They are nice and tight when he takes off, but quickly work their way off the bike. Any suggestions would be great!

See that it has a lock washer and or the type of flanged nut that is scored to keep from coming loose. You can also put another nut on it as a lock nut.

I need a replacement front wheel for a 16" Disney Princess bike. I cannot locate in local stores (ie, Walmart) or on line.

You need to search on-line for the size of wheel, not by the model of the bike. Look at the tire, it will be labeled with the wheel size.

Bought a 16 inch rosebud girls bike. No kickstand was in the box. Are you suppose to lay it down when u are through riding?

Apparently. They come with training wheels so how would they fall over? You could go to a Bike Shop and see if they have small kickstands for it when the training wheels come off. None of MY bikes have kickstands (or training wheels). Teach her to lay it down gently on its left side.

Hello, I bought my little girl the huffy 12in disney princess bike (blue) already assembled from walmart. she tried to ride it today, but when she pedals the back wheel spins, but the training wheels and...

ONE AT A TIME, loosen the nuts securing the training wheels to the rear axle and slide each one upward a little bit so it float a little bit off the ground when the bike is vertical, then retighten the nut.

As she develops her handling and balance skills she'll need less help from the training wheel. So you can gradually raise them a bit higher as she masters balance and then she'll develop the 'lean' for turning. Ultimately, you remove them entirely.

I hope she's wearing a properly-fitted helmet.

I bought the huffy 16"

It's pretty hard to know how to help you exactly. But this may help--- if you have (or can borrow) a digital camera, take close-up pictures of your parts then take the camera with you to a Wal-mart or wherever this bike is sold. Compare your pictures to one on display. Or better yet, take the whole bike with you. Or just take close-up pictures of the bike on display. It might also be useful to know that the front fork (that is the two metal bars about 10 inches long that point toward the ground that the wheel attaches to) sometimes have to be spread apart just a bit to fit the wheel's axle in place. I'm talking about maybe 1/4 inch or so. If it's a lot more than that the fork may have gotten bent in shipment and you should take it back.
good luck, Merry Christmas. Al K

Install training wheels

when installing the training wheels, check to see if it is put together in this order ....flat washer, training wheel, flat washer, lock washer, nut. I hope this helps. If you are missing any of these you can find them at any auto parts store, Wal-mart, or hardware store such as Lowe's or Home Depot. (Be sure to take the traing wheel and nut to make sure you have the right size)

How do I get a replacement for a Disney Cars Huffy bike pedal?

You can find replacement pedals on amazon. The cheapest (with most positive reviews) is Avenir Resin Pedals. Just chose the size, and enjoy. cheersget-replacement-disney-cars-huffy-bike-uh3jsoynacgcqh0wcsujgpyu-2-0.jpg
