I dont know how old your scanner is, but I do have some suggestions for you. First try rebooting (restarting your computer) if the memory fills up on you computer is will cause this problem. One thing to note is the computer actually controls the scanner and tells it OK Ill take what your sending me and then the computer process's into an image.

Second if its an older scanner it may just be dirty rollers, I would suggest getting some fantastic or 409 and a terry cloth wash cloth and cleaning any rollers you can get access too.

I hope this helps you out if it does please leave me some positive feedback.

Using a paper jogger in an office

Working in an office I handle a lot of paper on a regular basis. After getting a paper jogger I can not imagine getting any work done with out it.

Using a paper jogger is very simple, all you have to do is load the paper into the bin. What the jogger does is, is it used a motor to vibrate the paper so that it squares off nice and even around the edges. This is a very simple and brilliant piece of technology it takes advantage of gravity to make the paper perfectly aligned.

I have found that work has been much more efficient since getting a paper jogger. I have been getting less paper jams in the printer and the folding machines has to redo fewer folds. Usually what happens when I don't use the machine is I have to square off the paper by bouncing it on the table but if they aren't perfect, then the folds won't be even leading to more work because I have to redo it or the printer gets jammed and I'll have to open it up to find the jam.

There are special machines that can be used to feed paper into a scanner so that when the paper goes into the scanner all the pages are scanned properly and perfectly. This has been a great tool for scanning many pages really quickly. I have been using this for scanning in my boss' hand written notes so that he can have them saved in his email in case something should happen to the physical copies.

The joggers can be a little pricey but when it comes to saving time and working more efficiently you can't really put a price on saving time.

I have a JVC TH-A9 but no longer have the system cable supplied at purchase. Can i find this in stock at a retailer near me and does it have to be made by JVC?

  • My Daughter mis-placed the power cable to her boombox, same type of power cable that you need (does not have to be JVC)
  • So, locate the "female" port on the rear of you reciever,(says 110 v 60 Hz)
  • TAKE A MENTAL NOTE OF THE SHAPE.
  • Just to be sure, place a piece of typing paper over the port, take a pencil in hand, hold the pencil on it's side, move it back and forth over the paper that is over the port, (shading motion).
  • Your done !
  • Take this paper to your nearest Radio Shack for your replacement power cord.
  • about 6 bucks

I have an HP PSC 1510. I got a new computer with vista and it no longer does 2 sided printing. It used to have a pop up that caused the printing to pause allowing me to flip the paper and would print the...

Wow! I have this same printer and I didn't even know it could do that. I don't know what's wrong with the machine, but to make 2-sided copies you can still just flip the paper, as long as you take the stack of blank paper out of the feed so it doesn't print your second side on a clean sheet.

Roller no longer picks up paper

Hello,
Check to make sure that the rollers are not just sliding on the paper instead of gripping it. If this is the case, one thing you can try is to get some rubbing alcohol and cotton swab the rollers to make sure they are clean. Be sure to power down the copier first and unplug it.
Over time, the paper fibers build up on the rollers, and eventually, they get worn out. Cleaning them once in a while can prolong their lives and sometimes even revive "dead" rollers.
Also, let the alcohol dry before you try using the copier again.
Hope this helps!

Either put the paper closer to the other side of the glass, or go into the settings to see if it is copying or scanning at 100% See if gives you the option of stretch or shrink to paper size. Also, see if it says Crop Automatically versus copying or scanning entire glass. If there is a choice between Automatic, Home Mode, or Professional Mode, try each one. There is always a reset button to return to original defaults. If you are given the option of seeing a preview first, always do that, even though it takes a little longer.

Won't pick up next sheet of paper

Use some Q-Tips and alcohol to clean the rubber rollers just above your paper stack - they get dusty and sometimes won't take the next piece of paper.

Issue When using colored paper in the all-in-one, printing or copying is slow. Solution This issue is a result of the automatic paper type sensor misreading the colored paper as photo paper. The print out takes longer because the unit is printing in Best mode instead of Normal mode. Follow the steps below to temporarily change the Automatic Paper Type setting from within the application that you are printing from.
  1. Click File , then Print or Print Setup .
  2. Select the appropriate all-in-one from the drop-down list and click Properties .
  3. Click the Paper/Quality tab and under Type is: select Plain Paper . Changes made within the application might not be permanent and the setting will default back to Automatic after closing the application. The setting will have to be changed each time colored paper is used in the all-in-one.
Follow the steps below to change the default Automatic Paper Type setting to plain paper.
NOTE: By following the steps below, the default Automatic Paper Type setting will be changed to Plain Paper. In order to use a different paper type in the all-in-one (e.g., photo paper), the setting will have to be temporarily changed to reflect the new paper type.
  1. Click Start , point to Settings , and then click Control Panel .
  2. Double-click Printers and Faxes .
  3. Right-click the appropriate all-in-one, and then click Printing Preferences .
  4. Click the Paper/Quality tab and under Type is: select Plain Paper . This sets the default paper type setting to Plain Paper.
