Hi Dan - Can't be done but the most IMMEDIATE thing that you should do is call your provider and tell them the phone was stolen. The idea that this is possible is just folklore.

They will then flag the number and it will be blocked from further use. As far as responsibility for any calls that might have been made in the meantime that varies between providers. Most important is when you call you have a friendly positive attitude and try to get the phone rep on your side. Most reps have some leeway in how they can handle the situation....BUT CALL THEM NOW!!

Good Luck and thanks for using Fix Ya.

I try to remove sim card from an apple iphone 3. but the sim card tray only ejects half way . i cannot remove the sim card

only way round this would be to open the iPhone and free the sim card tray from inside. If you don't know how to do this and are not good with electronics your best to get a local iPhone repair person to do it for you as they are very delicate inside and you could easily damage the phone and render it useless just to get the sim card if not done properly

My samsung Galaxy phone stolen how i can look it online or stop it service

Hi, your phone IMEI is a number which is unique to every GSM mobile phone. It is usually found printed on or underneath the phone's battery and warranty card. IMEI of any set can also be found by dialing the sequence *#06# into the phone. The IMEI number is used by the GSM network to identify valid devices and therefore can be used to stop a stolen phone from accessing the network.
For example, if a mobile phone is stolen, the owner can call Authorities (service provider) and instruct them to "block" the phone using its IMEI number. This renders the phone useless, regardless of whether the phone's SIM is changed.

How to solve PUK problem

I assume that you have blocked your sim card and want to know your pin unlock code(PUK). First i would mention do not enter PUK until u know it because it will make your sim card useless and you'll have to get a new one issued. I request you to call the customer care and tell them that you have blocked your sim card. they will ask your mobile number and numbers written behind your sim card(so be ready with these details. They will tell you the PUK. Enter it in your phone now. it'll be unlocked now. thank you for using fixya.com. have a nice day!

Please my w350i got locked and can no longer accept any sim card after I updated it wit the sony ericsson update service. The IMEI is 356237025845155. The phone may be from France because the language...

sometimes, this is done to lock stolen phones.especially if the owner had reported it stolen to the company.
the best way to tackle this problem is to contact sony ericsson as the problem came after updating with their software.
any attempt to use any illegal method or whatsoever could damage your phone and render it useless to you.
you can either contact them or take it to a local repair shop and see if they have any information on this as it is quite a scarce problem.

My mobile 2600 classic is stolen so how can i get my mobile

I think it is very hard nowadays to recover stolen or lost phones, but one thing you can do is block your phone so that the person who stole it cannot use the phone. All you have to do is call the phone provider. They will get some basic info and the IMEI number of your lost mobile set. They will register IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) of your cell phone and will request all the mobile operators to block this IMEI on their networks.

IMEI is a number which is unique to every GSM mobile phone. It is usually found
printed on or underneath the phone's battery and warranty card. IMEI of any set
can also be found by dialing the sequence *#06# into the phone. The IMEI number
is used by the GSM network to identify valid devices and therefore can be used to
stop a stolen phone from accessing the network. For example, if a mobile phone is
stolen, the owner can call his/her network provider and instruct them to "block" the
phone using its IMEI number. This renders the phone useless, regardless of whether
the phone's SIM is changed.

I only get a engaged tone and then says call rejected but the sim works in my other phone how can i sort this

The phone may be SIM locked, that means you can use it with a SIM card purchased together with the phone only. This mechanism protects phone service providers (PSP) business model from people that enter mobile phone contracts with a discount phone from just changing the SIM card for a cheap prepaid competitors SIM.
A second (but not necessarily intended) effect is, stolen phones are rendered useless to the thief.
If you provide proof of ownership to the PSP and the lock-in contract is fulfilled (usually two years after purchase), most PSPs unlock the phone for free or for a small fee.

Query

Ring your Cell/Mobile service provider and get them to immediately block your SIM card as well as your physical Handset by giving them the unique IMEI of your handset.
A blocked IMEI will render the handset useless on any network.

Hope it helps.

Mobile stolen

Unlike the Electronic Serial Number or MEID of CDMA and other wireless networks, the IMEI is only used to identify the device, and has no permanent or semi-permanent relation to the subscriber. Instead, the subscriber is identified by transmission of an IMSI number, which is stored on a SIM card which can (in theory) be transferred to any handset. However, many network and security features are enabled by knowing the current device being used by a subscriber.

If a mobile phone is stolen, the owner can call his or her network provider and instruct them to "ban" the phone using its IMEI number. This renders the phone useless, regardless of whether the phone's SIM is changed.
