My GT 550 is now running on the outer two cylinders only the horn didn't work on left hand lock now it will start with the sidestand down since the fault on the horn wiring "was put right" any ideas

Check your coils. The 2 coils operate 2 cylinders at a time. One coil cylinders 1&4 and the other coil 2&3 (hence only 1&4 firing). The easy way is to switch over the wiring to each coil at the loom side so coil number 1 is now wired with the wires that were fed to coil number 2 and number 2 with number 1. The HT leads to the plugs are not touched and remain as they are now. Fire up the bike and see if only the inner 2 cylinders now fire. If this is the case then the coil that is feeding the non-firing cylinders is suspect. It could be the coil itself or it could be the wiring that feeds the coil, only further investigation will determine, so get back to me and let me know the results.
The horn and sidestand issue sounds like a wiring or switch problem, let me have a think and I'll see if anything comes to mind. Regards, Steve.

My right front turn signal not working the bulbs are good and so is the fuse but I don't have fire going to them it's a 2010 chevy 2500hd

You don't have fire , never heard it called that before ! Battery voltage , power but never fire ! An open CTSY fuse located in the I/P fuse block will affect the operation of the right front turn signal only
Turn Signal/Hazard Lamps When the turn signal switch is placed in either the left or right position, a ground signal is completed from the turn signal switch to the BCM. When the hazard flasher switch is activated, a ground signal is completed from the turn signal/hazard switch to the BCM. The BCM then sends an ON-OFF voltage signal through the fuses to the appropriate turn signal and side repeater (export only) lamps or to all of the turn signal fuses for hazard operation. The driver door switch and passenger door switch also receive voltage from the BCM turn signal supply voltage circuits for the mirror turn signals. The door switches have no function or control of the mirror turn signals other than a pass through connection for the circuits. The audio chime is also activated when the turn signals are ON. The instrument panel cluster (IPC) receives the signals to activate the turn signal indicators over the GMLAN serial data system. When the hazard switch is pressed, all turn signal lamps will flash including both IPC turn indicators.
Ground is applied at all times at G201 to the turn signal/multifunction switch. The turn signal lamps may only be activated with the ignition switch in the ON or START position. When the turn signal/multifunction switch is placed in either the TURN RIGHT or TURN LEFT position, ground is applied to the body control module (BCM) through either the right turn or left turn signal switch signal circuit. The BCM then applies a pulsating voltage to the front and rear turn signal lamps through their respective control circuits.

How do you set upm model dt 420 electronic timer

Open UPM DT420 manual on following link:
http://waterheatertimer.org/UPM-timers-and-manuals.html#DT420

The manual is longer than allowed for free answer and has important illustrations and options.
Please read the manual in addition to instructions given below.

Copied directly from the manual:
1) Select AUTO using the slide switch
2) Select the desired On-period (2, 4, 6, 8, 10 hours) using the dial switch
3) For continuous Dusk to Dawn operation, Select CONTINUOUS using the dial switch.
Timer turns ON automatically at dusk and turns off according to how you set 1 2 and 3.
If timer does not operate, or if it turns on at odd times, then it is broken.

Note: UPM manuals normally leave out important information, but this particular instruction matches closely with similar products and is probably accurate.

Also take advantage of fixya expert assistance live.
For a price, expert works with you while you work on timer or any do-it-yourself project.

Hi I need to connect more wired devices than the 4 port allow. Is ther any instructions? Can it be dome?

Yes you can connect more wired devices to it but you need to get another networking device like a HUB or SWITCH which will be connected to one of the port of the router then go get the hub or switch with the number of port that you will needing like a 24 port hub or switch.
Then once you have that HUB or SWITCH you can simply connect that to one of the port of the router and connect you wired devices to that HUB or SWITCH.

I have a bad decora switch, how can i tell if it i...

In addition to your answer that was given to you. Look at the amp rating on the switch you just removed. It's probably a 20 amp switch (if you already had 12 guage wire in there, and it worked fine), and you're replacing it with a 15 amp. Happens all the time. As far as the answer given you, its fine. The only time you would use a 4-way switch is when it's being operated by two 3-way switches from opposite ends like the gentleman mentioned. I would suggest getting the correct 3-way switch. It just makes things easier. And again, turn OFF the circuit when working on this switch - or anytime you're working on anything electrical. This is a huge Rule-of-Thumb! I've been doing electrical work for over 27 yrs., and I always turn OFF the electricity.  Best of Luck to you, and I hope this is a little added solution to the one you already have. Take care...Jim

06 pontiac g6 sunroof stuck open, car was left in rain with roof open, and then powered closed and later powered open then would not operate. Has power to the switch. How do I check switch and or motor?

by using a simple test light you can check each post individuly with the switch in each position also at the motor end check where the wires go into the motor have someone work the switch in each position and test each wire if you have fire going to the motor corrsponding to the switch position (you should have fire on at least one wire in both closed and another wire in the open position of the switch at the motor) and if so then your motor is probably out

Just installed a T101. Unit will not switch to on position works perfectly to off position. Can it be adjusted.

Yes.

Programming Instructions for the Intermatic T101 - 24 Hr. Dial Time Switch:
1. TO SET ON AND OFF TIMES: Hold trippers agains edge of clock-dial, pointing to time (AM or PM) when ON and OFF operations are desired, tighten tripper screws firmly. For additional tripper pairs on CLOCK-DIAL order 156T1978A.

2. TO SET TIME-OF-DAY: Pull CLOCK-DIAL outward. Turn in either direction and align the exact time-of-day on the CLOCK-DIAL (the time now, when switch is being put into operation) to the pointer. DO NOT MOVE POINTER.

Operating Instructions:
* To operate switch manually: move manual lever below clock-dial left or right as indicate by arrows (graphics) This will not efect next operation.
* In case of power failure, reset clock-dial to proper time-of-day. See Programing Instructions (top lines).

Good luck (reemmber rated this help).

1998 craftsman mower w/19.5 hp Briggs and Stratton will not fire.

Hello B-N-L:

>>I Suggest you Check the Ign Module First and then the Safety Switches if the Ign Module (Coil) is Good. Remember that the Ign Module May Check Good, but if the Safety Switches Check Good, then Most likely the Coil is in the Early Stages of Breaking Down and will Cause this Problem.
>>You can Check the Ign Module (Coil) by Using the Following Instruction File.
The Following is an Instruction File I Made for Checking and Repairing this Problem.
>>Run the Engine Until it Quits, then Remove the Spark Plug. Wrap a Wire Around the Threads and Attach the Other End of the Wire to the Engine Block Turn the Engine and See if the Plug Fires.
>>If No, then Disconnect the Shut Off Wire at the Control Bracket First, Check for Fire at the Plug. If Still No Fire at the Plug; Then Disconnect the Shut Off Wire at the Coil (usually requires removal of the blower housing) and Check for Fire at the Plug.
>>If No Fire at the Plug , then the Coil/Ign Module is Bad. The Coil/Ign Module to Flywheel Gap is .020in.
>>On Some Model JD Engines, there is a Igniter that Goes Bad and Not the Coil. The Igniter is the Same as an Ignition Module. If the Plug Fires at Anytime During these 2 Checks, then a Safety Switch or Wire May be the Problem. Yes the Engine will Turn Even with a Bad Seat Safety Safety Switch. Usually if the Engine will Not Turn with the Ign Switch; the Blade Safety or Neutral/Clutch Safety Switch is Usually the Cause of this.
>>The Starter Turns and the Engine Doesn't Fire is an Indication of a Bad Coil/Ign Module or a Faulty Blade Safety Switch.
>>The Blade and Clutch Safety Switches Prevent the Starter from Engaging so the Blades or the Mower Does Not Move when the Starter Turns the Engine.
>>The Seat Safety is Designed to Stop the Engine if the Blades are Engaged or the Clutch Safety is Not Engaged when you Leave the Seat.
>>The Following is an Instruction File for the Safety Switch System. Any Input is Appreciated.
>>The Color Code of the Wires May be Different than those I Use as a Reference in the Instruction File.
>>**PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHECKING THE SAFETY SWITCHES IS JUST THAT!!! FOR CHECKING ONLY.
>>I NEVER Suggest a Mower be Operated with a Safety Device or Switch Disconnected or Bypassed.
>>**Now. On Some Model Mowers you can Simply Unplug the Safety Switch from the Harness. On Other Models you have to Place a Jumper Wire Between the Harness Terminals (on the 4 Post Switch (Clutch/Brake) Jumper from Same Color Wire (Example: White to White) First and then Check for Fire, Now Include the Black to Black Wires if No Fire.
>>Check the Clutch/Brake and the Blade/PTO Safety Switches First.
>>Check the Seat Safety Last. Usually the Seat Safety is Not in the System for Starting the Engine. Just to Ensure Someone is in the Seat when Engaging the Transaxle and/or Blades. Use a Paper Clip or a Short Wire to Make a Jumper.**
>>Use a Volt/OHM/Continuity Meter and Check the Continuity of the Switch. The Meter should Show when the Contacts are Closed and Open. The Meter will Swing All the Way Over when the Switch Contacts are Closed and Swing Back to the Rest Point when the Switch Contacts are Open.
>>If the Safety Switches Check Good, then Check the Ign Module (Coil).
>>Thanks.

Respectfully

John
