Question about Dryers
Hi i bought an older kenmore series 70 dryer and i have a four prong outlet so my cord i need to hook up has like a pony tail of red white black and green but on the back of the dryer is r w &b in one spot then a green wire is like folded back on itself and bolted to the shell of the dryer.
i need to know do i replace it w/ the one from the ponytail or do i overlap the two greens or leave it and just don't connect my green or what?
Code says disconnect green wire from dryer and tape off and put green wire from new cord in its place green wire from dryer actually connects right back to white wire
