Question about Reddy Heating & Cooling

1 Answer

My heater starts and runs but then shuts off and I have to push the reset after a short cool down time before it will run again. I replaced the nozel, cleaned the photo eye, set the pump preasure, replaced the spark plug and air filter. It still shuts off.

In case you have misplaced your Owners Manual here is a link to where you can find it.

http://www.desatech.com/constructionheaters.htm

Where it' says Construction Heaters, open that and scroll down until you find the Model Number of your heater. Click on that Model Number and it will bring up the Owners Manual and you can download and print it. It has an extensive troubleshooting guide, that should help you.

Shuts off on its own after a short running time

You more than likely have a high temp sensor opening up the circuit when it reaches its limit. It would have to cool down to close again. Either that high temp sensor is bad or your heater is getting too hot.

hi,

if its an electric water heater then it sounds like a calcified or shorted element. you have to shut the water heater off at the breaker box, drain the tank and replace the elements theres usually two. they make a special element wrench at the hardware store they just unscrew and screw back in. make sure all your electrical connections are tight..

Tv shuts down after 20 mins or so need to unplug for a time to re start then will run again for a short time

projector tv works like a projector.
the superhot bulb needs cooling, and if the cooling fails, it shuts down.

so what you have is either the fan is not working, or the cooling system is not working.

have to fix it professionally.

Try the link below. You can run down the list of checks and also get parts. You need to repalce the nozzle or clean it yearly. If it's older replace plug too. Check pump pressure.

Fire stoppes and fan still runs

1st take a air gun and blow in the fan to clear of debris. 2nd make sure to push your reset button on the back by your fan. Last you can calibrate your flame/heat by removing the fan housing & you will find 2 set screws try a small 1/16 turn on them and try to run, should run better for you.

Htr shuts off after awhile and won't come back on till it's cooled down

I had the same problem with my heater. It was a cracked fuel line. I replaced the rubber hoses. On mine there was a pick up hose and a feed hose. They were dry cracked. Works great now. Hope that helps you out.

Heater kicks out

Honeywell heaters like HZ3650 have a screen on the air inlet at the back side of the heater. This screen can be partially blocked off by an accumulation of lint, etc. The lint blocks some of the air flow which may cause heat increase within the heater to the point that the safety shutoff thermostat shuts off the power. Operation is returned after a cool down period only to repeat the shut down cycle after a short period of operation. If this is the cause of the problem the screen must be cleaned.
