Question about Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-105mm lens
The Nikon user manual says on Page 256 that the ERR message indicates a camera malfunction and to clear it, you must release the shutter.
I have found on my D-90 that I can usually release the shutter by turning the camera off and back on. Sometimes, I have to remove and reinstall the battery but that is rare.
The manual also says that if this problem persists or occurs frequently, you should contact an authorized service center.
I would suggest that you contact Nikon tech support at www.nikon.com before you contact a service center. They may be able to assist you without the need for a repair.
