Question about Ovens
You must allow for the temp to cool down in the oven first. As the temp rises on the oven to a dangerously high level of 900f if anyone were to open that door they would be severely burned.
A thermostatically operated locking mech is installed to lock the door. The only way to get the door open is to wait till the oven cools down. If the mechanism is stuck locked you must remove the oven from the wall and disconnect a rod in the rear to get the oven open.
