Question about Fujitsu Enterprise MAN3735MC 73.5 GB Hard Drive

Good morning. The problem with the hard drive is that it starts without problems, but loading the Windows OS generated a series of errors in various sectors. When charging the users are to be hung for 10 minutes before loading the profile. There is a tool that can solve this problem without having to stop the company's productivity?

You may need to be logged on as an administrator to do this

Open the my computer window, and right click on the drive in question and select properties from the menu that appears. A window with several tabs will appear, the one we want is labelled tools.
From the tools tab, click check disk for errors ( the first option, at the top ), you will be presented with a box with a few options, (fix file system errors, and scan for bad sectors) make sure both boxes are checked, and click ok, the machine will ask if it is ok to reboot, allow it to do so.
The self check may take a few minutes to half an hour or more to complete, then windows will load as usual.

This should fix your problem :)

Are you trying to set up a raid configuration? If not I would reformat using the 98 disk and reinstall. (You may be able to skip installing 98, try installing xp first and it should ask for the disk containing the software (win98) that qualifies for the upgrade.

If reseating your hard drive doesnt fix it, Insert your Windows disk into your cd/dvd drive
As the machine boots up, hit the F12 key
This will give you the option of where to boot your machine from.
Select boot from CD/DVD drive

The disk loads some files and gives an option to either install windows or repair, select repair and boot onto Windows (select 1)

It brings you to a command prompt :

Type in CHKDSK/R

Hit the ENTER key

Windows will not load up white acer screen comes up then 2 beeps and white writing on black screen shows various errors


Use the windows CD if you have it.

Start the computer and enter the BIOS menu. Change the 'boot priority' or 'boot order so that the CD drive is before the HDD. Save your settings and restart the computer.

Enter the windows CD and press a key when prompted to load from the CD. Windows has a series of utilities that may (or may not) assist you in sorting the various error messages that appear on your computer when booting.

If Windows says you need a repair, then you'll need to boot to the XP CD, and select the repair option and allow the repair install to try an fix the OS.

Often this error is generated on system with a failing hard disk drive.

Dell Latitude will not boot


Reseat the hard drive and then get into bios and check if the hdd is detected ,if not you need to replace the hdd ,if detected reinstall the OS.

Memory Error Messages


It could be either one of them. It is hard to tell without actually having the computer here. This may sound crazy but make sure your hard drive is not full. Windows uses a swap file that grows each time your computer is powered up and then deleted when powered down. If your hard drive is getting full it has been known to generate memory errors especially when using memory intense programs such as excel and programs like photoshop. Do a system cleanup and defrag your hard drive. Hope these suggestions work!

What is the original OS? If it's XP you can't install 98 over the top of it without formatting it to FAT32 first.
