You do not say what kind of saw it is or what type of material you are cutting. It could be dirty wood, hard wood, wrong cutting speeds, hard metal, anything, Please supply some more specific information for a thorough analysis of your problem.

Starts to cut really well, then for some reason, sometimes when it is 3/4 through the cut, why does it veer off to the right?

seems they all want to do it if the blade is too small or dull .crowding them seems to make it worse so take your time .

Why pole saw wont saw?

There could be a couple of reasons why your saw won't cut.
The first thing I would check is to make sure you have your chain facing the right way.
The chisel edges should be facing forward, or in the direction the saw chain is rotating.
If this is not the problem, then I suspect the chain itself is dull.

My saw makes a loud noice while I'm cutting

I'm wondering what the noise is like. Is the noise only while you are cutting / under load? Is the blade smoking? What type of wood are you cutting?

I fill the tank with petrol , not 2strike. i think i destroyed the piston. i want parts (pm 484 model)

cost you more to buy the parts than to get a new saw.and thats not even considering the labor which will be twice the parts cost. wrist pin ,connecting rod, rings ,piston
a lot of work with no guarantte that it will run or for how long it will keep running.
I just bought a new 2013 saw for $20.00 more that they wanted for a new carb for my old saw and went from a old worn 14 in
bar and dull , worn out & streched out chain to a brand new never used bar & chain which goes for38.95 at rome depot
so, if i take the price of a new bar & chain off the price of the saw,I got the new power head for only $40.00
I know, thats weird thinking----but not that far out there .

The only reason you should consider fixing your old saw is if its a like 100 cc or something that cost $995.00 only then would it be worth thinking about.

try this saw on for size.cpooutlets.com homelite 38cc,16 inch chain & bar with 3 point anti vibration handle ,8 hour cutting ,imcluding many breaks & no numb hands.

I have dewalt 18 v circular saw i cut vinyl lattice once and used it on a 2x4 but it wouldnt cut it, started to cut then just stopped. is blade dull already? new saw.

a couple things to look at. Did the saw stop operating or was the blade not wanting to cut. Remove the battery and CAREFULLY feel the blade for dull or broken segments. If the blalde stopped check to make sure not a loose bolt holding it on. Did you reverse the blade for cutting the vinyl. Let me know more information and I will try and help

Cs 400, first time cutting great, then the saw did not cut perfectly. Recently it worked poorly. When I push the saw a little bit hard against the log, the saw did not running(the engine is working)

suggest you sharpen the chain, sounds like it's dull like maybe the log you cut had been fallen on ground for awhile, this causes dirt build up in bark and acts just like cutting Dirt and we all know what that does to your chain...dulls it fast ! I learned from experience I cut an oak tree that was cut down for about 2 years when I got permission to cut it up,needless to say it had a lot of dirt in the bark! hope this helps you !

I have a efco 165 chainsaw and for no reason i will be cutting good clean wood and it will just go dull. there's no cut marks inside like it hit metal. it has been doing it since it was new.

It seems like they supplied the machine with an inferior standard chain, replace the chain with a good brand and see if that solves the problem. (Chain saws are not too fond of cutting dry wood, they do far better in wet, green wood).

Table saw king

Does the blade go to the right if you place the fence on the opposite side of the blade? If so, then the teeth on one side of the blade are dull. The dull teeth beat into the wood, and the sharp teeth cut when the blade is deflected by the dull teeth, leading the cut further and further from the straight line of cutting. This happens when something dulls the blade, like a nail, a foreign object embedded in the wood like stone, or if you use the wrong blade for the work being done, i.e. using a crosscut blade for consistent rip sawing.
First, get a spare blade or two for the saw, don't depend only on one blade. Use a combination blade to get the best balance from ripping and crosscutting. Then for the dull blade: If it is a steel blade, replace it with a carbide blade - a few dollars more, but well worth the upgrade. If it is a carbide blade, get it sharpened, as they will also get dull, though you can't always see it. If it is a carbide blade, and teeth are broken on it, ask your sawyer (saw sharpener) to determine if it is worth replacing the teeth, or if it is less expensive to replace the blade.
A quality blade will last longer than the least expensive ones, as the materials are better machined, balanced, and finished. Hope this helps.

Useing my band saw i get burn marks

You are applying too much pressure to the saw blade...let the blade do its work...slow down a bit...the burn marks indicate too much heat is building up...the blade is not cooling nearly enough as it goes around, from too much pressure in the cut, or the band blade may be dull, too. When the blade overheats, it loses its strength and its ability to cut as well, and it will become dull much faster. Make sure the blade is the proper type---teeth per inch and type of teeth--for the material you are cutting. Take your time...you, the saw and the blades will last longer! Be safe!
