Sometimes a source of the problem are switch detectors on small PCB in CD Mecha.

My xbox360 powers up with a green light from the middle and thats it , it don't work or connect to the controllars (not wirelessly or by the usb port) . and the four circling light don't work .please help

switch the xbox off and if you have any hard drive etc connected to the xbox or usb devices disconnect them , then switch it back on while holding the sync button, the one you press to pair the controllers with , hold that for 30 seconds and then release it, see if it will show up on the tv. If it still wont show anything on the screen , check all cables, borrow one that you know is working to try on it. if that doesnt work try another power supply. The best way to test it though is to take it to a friends and unplug there xbox and use their leads and power supply to see if yours boots up. Another check you can do is hold the sync button in and press the eject button , if an error is happening the ring of lights will change , you need to press eject 4 times, without letting go of the sync button, each time you press it the red lights will come on, code is as follows

Four lights =0
three lights = 3
two lights = 2
one light = 1

so if you get 433

then your secondary error code is 033

reply with what your error code is here

My tomtom charges the green light comes on I press the on button but nothing happens

I have managed to fix my TomTom one.

The problem was two fold. First the diode D8 was blown and also the power supply chip was blown.

It is a tricky job, using surface mounted components so should not be attempted by a novice but I managed it.

I have a full set of photos etc if anyone cares to try it. I figured - NOTHING to loose!! so what the heck and just went for it. Taking it apart was fun! The surface mounted IC was easy to obtain and the total cost was about £10 plus 4 hours panic labour. If anyone wants the info just let me know and I will send the photos - but no promises - it worked for me.
I figured out this ongoing problem. I purchased my TomTom One second edition 1/20/07 for $395. I was 30 days past my warranty and had the problem of unit not turning on. Green light came on when charged.

I opened my unit up and found the sw2 micro switch broken. If you press too hard on the on/off button, this will eventually happen.

I couldn't find a replacement switch so I wired my own switch and it works now.

Original xbox continous blinking green light, no eject & loading

sounds like a bad cable between the console and the TV, the XBOX is notorious for having issues if the cable isn't the correct one (a Microsoft one) or damaged.

the flash green with nothing else happening can be a failed bios.. coma console variant. It's possible to fix it with a chip, but uneconomic considering the price of a working box these days. It can also be a failed ide controller or bad ram..whatever, it's normally a scrapper with these symptoms unless you have a good junkbox...
If you have an xbox that fell it's always worth changing over the dvd drives, as they can cause weird faults as well, (as mentioned above re: unknown disks) as the green flashing is the usual "loading disk" message.

Put new batteries in, when turn power button on light turns green and then flashes red, nothing else happens (screen, etc).

if your not using lithium batteries, thats your problem.also these cards are very delicate.be gentle with them, and make sure you eject them before you take them out of the computer, that can cause big problems if you pull them without ejecting,be careful putting them everywhere, they can be currupt all kinds of ways.also be careful pushing and ejecting out of the camera.good luck i hope i helped,p.s too much heat,or demagneticiization in the airport etc.
