Computer doesn't turn on, only beeping

Hi Agne Suursaar,

Thank you for contacting fixya.
Do a clear cmos and then try reducing the number of ram sticks that you use to just one, and keep alternating ram sticks in different dimm slots. You may have one or more dead ram sticks/dimms.

I have a msi 785gm-p45 motherboard when i boot the computer there is no video on my monitor not even bios shows I'm using the onboard graphics i know it had a graphics card in it before i recieved it...

Hello here is the homepage:

Try to download the manual.
Adobe reader is needed, to read the content.

Yes, the bios can be reset, by removing the cmos battery, and inset it again.
But i don`t think that`s the problem.
Try to renew the power supply, and check also the ram modules, by removing them and insert, one at the time, and try to boot again.

Any beeb codes ??

Good luck

MSI PM8M-V Motherboard Beeping Problem

Hello here is the msi homepage:

If you download the manual, you need adobe reader, to read the content.

The drivers is available here:

Please select your windows system.
The files has to be unziped, before installation.

How many beebs comes, when you start the pc ??

Here is a list of beep codes:

The fault could be the power supply, the ram modules, or a faulty setting of a jumper, on the mainboard, or the graphic card.

Do you get the "blue screen of death" ???

Any picture on screen with fault code ???

One long beep, is the ram modules failing.

Try to remove the ram modules, and insert one, and try to boot.

Best of luck

Where can i find the cmos battery for MSI CX420?

Batteries are physically located on system boards. You would need to open up unit. Small and looks like a nickel. Be careful I've seen some laptops with tabs, screws and even solder to hold battery. Easy to damage.

I have a msi -ms7032- board and when i boot up ,the system speaker goes off with 2 beeps followed by 8 more.It will not do nothing else.Help Thanks ,Ken I got this computer from a person that does not know...

Depend from bios, what is beep, but when you have case like that, you can do this:
- clear cmos
- try another RAM
- try another grafik card

If you still have a problem, try turn on comp. only with motherboard,CPU, RAM, in some case you need and grafik card.
If you can hear one short beep, that is OK, and you must find problem in another parts.

Stop Error (Blue Screen) XP/7000 VE/AGP

sounds like might be a bad card,

alternatively your system ram might be giving you grief, i had major BSOD issues with my computer and ram tested fine, upon switching sockets that the ram was in i found that it was actually good ram, bad ram socket.

P4M-915G/PD1 no screen, no BIOS, only power.

Do you hear any beeps at all? Do you have a system speaker on the motherboard? If not, plug a 2-pin system speakers onto the motherboard where it says "speaker" and listen for some beeps. You may have a fried CPU or dodgy RAM on your hands. Possibly even a faulty AGP/PCI-E slot, to name a few.
