Question about Huffy 26 in. Cranbrook Cruiser Bike

1 Answer

I want to buy baskets for my huffy mens 26" cranbrook cruiser bike..I've been looking online and like the wald 528 folding basket (rear, dual)..I get confused when I look at mounting racks for the basket..Obviously, there is great difference in ease of installation, and I do not want to have to engineer a mounting system for whatever rack I buy..The Topeak Explorer Rack looks to be a good rack and says it will easily fit most frames, but I would like to be sure..I do not want to have to disassemble my brakes or buy another adaptor to fit my seat stem..Can I purchase these tw items and install with relative ease, or do you have a better suggestion?.I do like that both products are sturdy, roomy and can handle pretty heavy loads.

No doubt these two products are good and popular, but the problem is there is no instructions about how you assemble those baskets. It would be better to consult with your local shop or you can try with other products. You can find different products here :

My Cranbrook bike makes a clanking noise when I pedal it.

You need to evaluate wuith your eyes and ears what moving parts are contacting other parts of the bike in an undesireable way. So, what moves when you pedal it? The crank and chain.

Whenever I ride my 26"

The most likely cause of this problem is that the back wheel is not in straight. If you loosen the 2 nuts that hold the wheel in you'll be able to align it with the chain. When you stand behind the bike the wheel and chain should be parallell.

You should also keep the chain oiled as it helps to stop it hopping across the gears.
