Question about Acer Aspire 5315 Notebook

Open Question

Hei, I have tried to restore my Acer Emachine (E525) to factory settings but now I can`t reboot windows 7,0. When I turn on the computer i get a message where it says that Windows can not open and that I have to try to insert a windows installation/repair CD to get it started. I do not have such a CD. How can I solve this? The reason to why I decided to restore back to factory settings was due to that windows just crashed and the computer just died. So i figured I got some serious virus in it. Thank you so much in advance!

SOURCE: how to restore the laptop to factory setting by cd

It still sounds as though you aren't getting it to boot proper... You have to make sure the CD/DVD is set to be the ONLY boot device, it MUST be the first one... when it starts, immediately tap the enter key and make it boot from DVD/CD... If it still won't then either your disc is suspect or your CD/DVD is faulty.

SOURCE: iI have a gateway t-series

For that you need windows disk or recovery disk.
Boot your computer with that disk
For that when you power up the computer press F1 or F2 "del" key to enter in bios.
Then go to boot menu and set first boot device as your cd or dvd rom.
Then save settings and exit bios.
Insert windows disk in cd /dvd rom.
Then it boot with that disk. Then you get this message "Press any key to boot from cd.."
Then press any key.
Then follow the procedure accept license agreement and choose partition to format and install windows. Then it will format and copy system files to that drive then follow the simple procedure on screen.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Thanks for using FixYa.

SOURCE: my moms notebook (emachines model e525) will not

Hi

Please try this

power off the laptop
now power up again pressing the F2 top row a couple of times this may take you into the
factory reset option and if you are lucky enough to get there just follow the on screen instructions
unfortunately you will loose all data that you may of put onto the laptop

so if there is files and folders that you really really need to save then you may consider getting someone to scan your hard drive to recover the files that you need

there is another option that may work
on start up press the F8 key a couple of times and this may take you into the repair option
then try a few of those options
i always try the last known good configuration ist
and if that don't work then i try the repair my computer

good luck hope you can get it running again
please let us know if this has helped you
so that we may be able to help others

many thanks

Reset acer

The Acer Aspire One is a netbook, not a laptop.
A netbook is a smaller, scaled-down version of a laptop. It does not have the memory capacity or graphics of a regular laptop.
It also lacks a CD drive, which means you cannot restore the Acer Aspire One with restore discs. Instead, the netbook has a built-in factory restore feature.
You can reset the Acer Aspire One to factory settings just using your keyboard.
Only restore your netbook to factory settings if you cannot fix the problem any other way.
Save any files or folders on your Acer Aspire One with flash drives.
Drag and drop files onto the icon of your flash drive.
Go to Start > Restart to reboot your netbook.

Hold down Alt and F10 when you see the Acer logo on the screen.
The recovery menu will load.
Hit Enter and then Next to see your recovery options.
Choose Factory Restore to set your netbook back to factory settings.
Follow the instructions on the screen.
Choose your time zone and language when the customization menu appears.
Reboot the netbook when you are prompted.
Restore your saved files from the flash drive.
or
When a vital file becomes corrupted, it might be necessary to restore a computer to its original factory settings.
This process also cleans up the hard drive and removes old programs that can make a computer slow and unresponsive.
But, because restoration wipes away all files you have installed or created, it should be a last-ditch effort in trying to repair a computer.
If you have reached this point with your Acer laptop or desktop, the manufacturer provides a utility to restore the factory settings.

Open the Windows Start menu by clicking on the icon in the lower left corner of your desktop.
Click All Programs, then the Acer folder.

Select Acer eRecovery Management to open the utility.
If a Windows prompt asks for permission to run the program, click Yes.

Click the Restore button in the pane on the left side of the program window.
Click Completely Restore System to Factory Defaults.
Select the Yes option in the dialog box that asks you to confirm the action, and click Start.
Click OK in the second confirmation dialog box to restart the computer.
Click Next in the warning window that appears after the computer reboots.
This confirms that you realize restoring the computer deletes any data stored on your hard drive.

Click Next again in the Restore Destination window, and click OK in the popup that gives you one last warning about deleting your data.
The restoration process will begin.

Click OK when the utility lets you know that the restoration is complete.
The computer will restart, and Windows will finish the recovery process.

These computers generally don't have very loud speakers. This is a general complaint when it comes to these PC's.

Unfortunately, for you to be able to enjoy your music you'd have to buy yourself some speakers.

Even a 2.0 speaker set would suffice.

Good Luck,
