After you change the IP address, you need to restart the Copier to take effect.

Please verify that the printer is having the IP address in the same range. Also check there is no duplicate IP to avoid clash.

If yes, you need to connect the normal network cable if you have network switch or cross cable if you are connect directly on PC.

When I type my IP adress onto the browser nothing happens.

Plug your laptop or wireless device directly to the router using a network cord. If you still cannot access your router through a hard wire connection, unplug the router for 45 seconds and plug it back in. Then restart your computer while it's still hard wired to the router.

Your router IP address by default should be In order to make sure you are on the same network, click on start > run and type cmd or open a command prompt by typing cmd into the search field under vista and windows 7. Once you have a dos window open, type IPCONFIG and make sure that your IP address is 192.168.1.x. x represents any number that would be leased to your computer from the router. If you do not have that a 192.168.1.x ip address, DHCP might be turned off on the router and you will have to set up a static IP address through networking and connections managment, or network properties in windows xp.

In order to do this go to your control panel and into the networking icon. Find your LAN connection and right click and then left click on properties. Once it's open, click on TCP/IP and then click on properties. Change the raido buttons from Automatically Obtain to Manual and for the IP address type the following:

IP Address:
Subnet Mask:
Default Gateway

Click OK twice and try and connect to your router through the default IP address of

If you had to configure your IP manually, make sure you go back in there and change it back after you configure your router for DHCP.

Have a great day.

I recieve error that I can't get a Ip adress. WEP security password goes to the router but no Ip adress is making it back . I've tried loading a static IP adress, using another unsecured network. resetting...

Try using the HEX password instead of the ascii passphrase - also try to reset your AP temporarily in order to test the connection without ANY wireless security - if that doesn't connect, then the problem probably lies in the wireless router itself.

Wireless shows connection, but will not connect.

This kind of problem occur due to dhcp disable in the wireless router for the security purpose. So try to give the ip adress manually by right clicking on the wireless and give the ip adress of the same range in which your network in working e.g is the range of your ip addresses so please select the ip which is not been used by any other computer and than in default gateway enter the ip address of you wireless router and you will be able to access the internet on your system.

Cant connect to

what you need to do here is manually set your static IP adress, I had this problem as well and I know what to do.
you need to go to your network connections ( Controll panel>network connections) in xp (Controll panel>network and sharing center then left hand it sais: change adapter settings )
then rightclick your wireless connection and look at it's properties. then you need to click on Internet Protocol, for vista/windows 7 it's internet protocol 4 which you need to select. once selected click on properties just a little below.
there you'll see the setting is on: obtain Ip automaticly, but you'll have to choose ( use the following IP adress ) and enter

IP adress:
subnet mask: Default Gateway:
once entered press OK and now go to your browser and type the routers adress ( in my case and now you should be in your modems setup menu.
once changed your setting you need to change your IP back to auto obtain IP adress. or your internet still won't work
