Question about Mordaunt Short 912 Main / Stereo Speaker

Open Question

Hello, Firstlly, I am from Czech Republic in Middle Europe. I would like to ask for your support I have MS-612 over 7 years in operation with complete set ONKYO Immediately after swich on Left speaker has a problem with sound. Appears there dropouts and rating noise. (The second, right is full good). But after some short time is the left good too. I think, that trouble cause could be in crossover mainly some condesator or bad connection between wires inside electronic cross over... Maybe.. Now I tried new amplifier DENON, but situation is the same.. All cables and terminals I was checked many times. Please advise. Thanks in advance Eugene Speta

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Hi r_drain

great choice of speaker, always liked MS gear. They are designed to be biamped, or rather have a separate amplifier for bass and treble frequencies. You can just jumper between the terminals. They originally cam with a plate that connect the 2 black and red terminals together making effectively one black and one red. The speaker still has a crossover in line internally.

SOURCE: my mordaunt-short avant 908i front left speaker

I had similar problems my tweeter was blowen and it had to be replaced... I actually blew the speaker many times using a NAD amp as there were spikes coming from the amp. I changed the amp to a Marantz PM7200 and have had no problems since.

We got the Nintendo DS in US and it does not charge with the adapter now in Czech Republic, Europe. Can we purchase the charger here?

As long as the voltage etc are the same and it is a suitable replacement for the particular model of DS then Yes you should be able to get and use a charger from you current country if after you have bought a new charger and it still does not charge it could very well be the charging socket or battery has failed and needs repairs or replacement depend on what has failed. I hope this helps.
