Hi,
Since its a wireless mouse, it will use pencil battery to communicate with the wireless dongle which is connected to the system.
Try replacing the battery. If not try to plug the wireless dongle on the other USB port.

Lg DVD RH735T is there a way of making it region free

Have a look at http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks There is no hack yet posted for the RH735T. But you could try the hacks that work for similar LG models on the offchance that they'll also work for your 735. If you find it works, then update the site and say so. It will help others as you have just been helped now. :)

1.Switch Player ON
2.Hold the CLEAR button on the remote control whilst
pressing and holding the programme down button on the player
for 6 seconds.
3. A menu will appear. NOTE.. be careful when using the
remote to move the cursor as you can inadvertently change
other codes.
4. Using the cursor buttons on the remote move left or right
( not up or down ) to move the cursor to OP 6.
5.Move the cursor to position aa and change the code using
the up and down cursor keys so that the code is changed to
8e.
6. Press the OK/Enter key on the remote control
7. Press the Menu/List key on the remote control
8 This should result in the region code being edited and the
player should switch off.

As with all editing of the software it is worth making a
note of all existing codes
before making any changes in case
you make a mistake along the way.

Original remote lost. have universal remote. cannot program TV

On the right hand side of this television there are panel buttons. It appears that your son in law knocked the tv out of the correct input. Press the input button in order to cycle through the 5 inputs. Typically pressing the input button on the side panel of a television and pressing it again and again and again will make it change inputs. Universally the buttons on the tv panel function as follows: Channel up moves the cursor up. Channel down moves the cursor down. Volume + moves the cursor right. Volume - moves the cursor left.

Mouse stopped working, but appears ok, batteries ok, can't determine problem

Hope this helps others. My mouse stopped controlling cursor but buttons worked. Problem was it would not work on a black table. Slip a piece of white paper under it and waaala! It works. I'm thinking optical mouse and dark surface might be an issue.
