take a flat head screwdriver and puch the spring loaded pin near the plate in and pull the lever off... use the screwdriver to pry the finish plate off, then tighten the 2 bolts you just exposed... reverse it to get lever back on...

SOURCE: TAP IS LOOSE AND I AM UNABLE TO TIGHTEN

The tap is held in place with a large nut. There is a special wrench with an adjustable handle called a faucet wrench, available at home depot and other hardware stores which will enable you to tighten the faucet with ease. J.

A LOOSE BATHROOM SINK HOT WATER HANDLE

Is it the whole tap or just the knob/lever?

Whole tap, there is a nut underneath that needs tightening. Don't over tighten it.

Just the knob or lever that you turn to turn on and off? You will find a small screw at the rear. It is a set screw, so it doesn't have a head, it just sits in a hole. Usually a hex key to tighten it. The hole is often filled with gunk so clean it first with an old toothbrush. The set screw is often sticky so undo it I turn before you tighten, lift the knob off, screw the screw in until you see it coming out of the inside to clean the threads. Unscrew the screw back out, replace the knob and tighten it.

The three point hitch up down lever moves as tractor is moving, handle/lever very loose.how can i tighten it up?,

I'd try to get a repair manual. MFG customer service may also be helpful, email or call.
manualslib.com may have it. There may be a locking nut that has come loose, and therefore the nut that holds it tight has also come loose. Follow the lever to where it attaches at a pivot point. Look for loose and nut to tighten.

Loose take up lever

you can try tightening it up yourself or take it to a sewing machine repair shop and let them tighten up the take up lever and see if there is anything wrong with the lever and why it's loose.

Loose lever how to tighten

What type of lever is loose? Is this a brake lever, shifter lever, or quick-release lever? I may be able to help; but there are different solutions to each of these. If you're not certain; perhaps provide a picture and I can certainly give it a try.

Gear shift loose. How can I tighten so that this will stop coming loose? I tighten & tighten until I break the bolt.. Any advice?

You could buy a new gear lever, if the shaft is in good condition, or you could widen the gap in the gear lever by cutting it with a hacksaw untill you have removed aprox 5mm thus allowing you to clamp up the lever, tighter on the shaft

MY HARLEY ULTRA CLASSIC "1999 " SHIFTER SEEMS TOO LOOSE. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Follow the shifter linkage back from the forward controls to the shift lever going into the transmission. Make sure the joints and bolts in the linkage are tight. My guess is the shift lever is loose on the shaft. If so, there is an allen head bolt that secures the shift lever to the shifter shaft. The shift lever is split and the allen head bolt is a pinch bolt. It's kinda hard to get to, but an allen head socket, short extension, and a rachet will work. Make sure this bolt is tight. Use a little penetrating oil before trying to tighten it. If it won't tighten, try taking the bolt out, chase the threads in the shift lever with a tap, and replace the bolt with a new one.
