Hi.
it sounds like you may have some form of child lock active on the machine.
most child locks will disable all of the controls apart from the power switch.

without knowing the make and model of the machine, i can only suggest that you look for a lock or key symbol next to one of the buttons on the machine. than press that button for 4 or 5 seconds until you hear a beep.

if you let me know the make and model, i can find the correct instructions to switch off the child lock.

hope this helps

How to fixed a error code E43 of washing machine Siemens

This is related to the motor, and may be that the motor needs new brushes the Tacho (feedback mechanism) is broken, wiring or the motor control board. Most likely for a 6-7 year old washing machine is the brushes.
However, after changing them, you still need to reset the machine
  1. Turn off the machine (dial to 0)
  2. Open the door
  3. Turn on the machine on first program
  4. Close the door
  5. Turn off the machine
  6. Turn on the machine on the "six-o-clock" program, which is centrifuge
  7. Press the "option down" button and keep it pressed (This is the button left of the display)
  8. Turn the dial to "seven-o-clock" (empty/pump out program)
  9. Release the "option down" button
  10. Turn of the machine
This should reset the machine, and if everything is allright, it should work. If it does not work after changing the brushes and resetting it, something else is wrong, most likely the motor control board, or if the motor.

Comunication error

Hi,

At first turn the machine off, and then press the start button, reverse button and auto lock button at the same time.

-Turn the machine back on while still pushing the three buttons. After the machine has powered on, release the buttons.

-Press the + sign at the bottom of the screen, continue pressing each + sign as it appears. The machine will display a "Test Complete" message, turn off your machine.

-Wait 5 to 10 seconds before powering your machine back on, your machine will run through a diagnostic test and repair any issues it finds.

If this doesn't work;

Have you set up communication is to the "COM Port" designation within Customizer/Digitizer.

Go to >ScanCard >Communication Settings > choose the COM Port you want to use (find out what COM port the cable's using by going to your Start/task Bar in Windows>Control Panel >System >Hardware >Device Manager >Ports (COM & LPT).
There, you should be able to see what port your cable's using.

Hope this helps

LG WD-10160 TP. Display is showing code CL and no buttons work. I think it may be child lock but can't turn it off. The problem occurred when I turned off the machine & disconnected the water...

You are quite right, the Child Lock is engaged.

3 options for you depending on the machine:

Find the two buttons Temp and Options in the panel. Turn ON the machine, press these two buttons together for 3 seconds and that should reset it.

Or

It might have a little kids face above a lock key, inbetween the wash and rinse buttons, hold these for 3/5 seconds and it should work

Or

If it has a program selector twist dial, set the selector to off or the end of a program (If it doesn't have, don't worry) Then, unplug from the mains. Leave for 20 minutes without tampering.

Power back on and the machine should have reset

Where is the bobbin reset button? I'm working on

The reset button should be a silver button smaller than a dime on the bed of the machine. if you were looking at the machine as you would while sewing the button would be half way between the needle and the innermost part of the throat. Push and hold the button then turn the main pully backwards it should stop and the turn it forwards and the ball bearing should drop in place. you may have to let go of the button on that one when you start turning it forward.

How do you adjust the stitch length on Consew 226 R-1?

if it is like the other industrial machines I've used, here is the general principle:

On the machine there is a button with no label. Hold button while turning the handwheel toward you. When you feel the button depressl you can adjust the length. Hold the button in the machine and crank the hand wheel back to decrease the length of ths titch and foward to increase it. I usually put a notch on the fly wheel for my standard length with some nailpolish. Release the button and sew to test the length.

Buttons don't work

Hi, please try to turn the machine off. If the machine wont turned off using the power button, unplug the power cable. Wait for 10 to 15 sec. then turn the machine on. Try pressing the menu or setup button. If that works thats good but if not you may need to call the machine manufacturer for service.

Yes, I have a solution for this problem. Your screen needs to be recalibrated and you can do it yourself. Don't you wish they would just tell you this stuff instead of charging you an arm and a leg? Here's what to do: Before turning on the machine, press the start/stop button, the reverse button, and the needle position button all at once with one hand (one finger on each button). Hold them down and turn on the machine. What will come up is a recalibration screen. You will see the numbers 1-5 with a little plus sign beside them. Find a small blunt object (I used the tip of a mechanical pencil with the lead in instead of out) and while holding the start/stop button, touch the plus sign beside 1-5 in numerical order. Then, turn the machine off and on again in the normal way. This should recalibrate the screen. Pass it along, people! This is something no one should have to pay for!
