My cannot recognize ethernet controller. i tried several drivers, still does not work. please help!

Your ethernet card may be bad. You need to get a different card with the compatible drivers and install it both physically and driver-wise. If that card works it's a good bet the other one is dead.

Replacing ethernet PCI card 10/100 by gibabit 1000

When you replace and install LAN card you need to install also the driver. Be sure that your onboard ethernet PCI card are disabled in BIOS. So that the new install LAN card are working.

My Ethernet card doesn't work on my n845wn Intel

It's possible the drivers are not installed.. To check if drivers are properly installed for the Ethernet card, if you have win XP
* go to Start>Control Panel>System> click on Hardware tab, then Device Manager
- once you're on Device Manager, look for network adapter, you should see something like "Via Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapter", this is just an example, you may have a different brand of Ethernet adapter
- if you can see the Ethernet Adapter and it has a green icon beside it, it should be working fine, you can also double click on it, to view the Status
- if you don't see the Ethernet Adapter on the list, look under the section "Other Devices", if you see an "Ethernet Controller" on the list with a yellow exclamation point, it means the drivers for the Ethernet Adapter were not installed, which means the drivers has to be re-installed
- you need the manufacturer cd for the drivers

*Now if there's no "Ethernet Controller" on Other Devices section, it's possible the Ethernet card is not being detected by the computer
- you may have to unplug the Ethernet card physically from the computer (computer must be completely turned off) then try to insert the Ethernet card again and boot up the computer, if the computer detects the Ethernet card, you need to install the drivers
- If the computer doesn't detect the Ethernet card, most probably it's busted. You may have to replace it.. You can also try to install the Ethernet card on a different computer just to check if it's really the Ethernet card or the motherboard that's the problem..

I Have A NEC Notebook Model No:- Versapro VJ30Y/AF-M there was a virus in it I format my notebook & installed the new XP but Now I Don't have ethernet drivers & VGA Drivers please help me finding these...

Try this website http://support.necam.com/mobilesolutions/hardware/notebooks/

I dont see any models for Versapro but there might be something similar to your needs. If you can access the internet google search "belarc advisor" and download to a jumpdrive and install on your laptop. It will give you specific information to the hardware installed on the laptop and you will be able to find drivers easier.

Hope this helps

Questions about replacing ethernet card on my Dell desktop

Any ethernet card will work fine. Just be sure it's the fit's the correct slot. You probably have a "white" slot which is a pci slot. If it's a longer "black" slot then it's isa. More than likely it came from a pci slot. Before you buy one, confirm the type of slot. In additon, before installing it go to control panel and system settings, hardware, device manager and remove the old one by right clicking it and select delete or remove. Shut down the computer follow instructions for new card.
Probably will have to install the drivers first then shut down and install the new card. Good Luck.

Ethernet card??

ethernet pci cards are very cheap, if its a desktop pc, turn it off, switch off at mains, but keep plugged in, then touch something metal to discharge yourself of any static.

Simply remove the side of your pc and unscrew the clamp that holds in the card, pull card out, push new card in gently then replace the clamp and screw.

Restart up pc and the card will be found automatically, then ask for the driver cd, run the cd, and your up and running again.
