Suzuki wagon r+gl check engine light keeps flashing and wont start after battery change

the engine (there are more than one engine)
has a distributor.
"have spark at coil down to dizzy but no spark at plugs"
this can mean only 2 things.
1: spark wires are dead. all 4, kinda hard to believe huh?
2: the dizzy is way off time. so time the dizzy and now spark
lands on each wire term.
if not a dizzy engine, post exact version of engine and country.

Changed spark plugs now runs rough and has thick white exhaust

Changing the plugs probably had nothing to do with it.
White smoke is usually a sign the engine is burning coolant or trans fluid. You might want to check those fluid levels.
If the coolant is low, you may have a leaking head gasket or intake gasket.

What cause the car die after i change the spark plug

-Not the spark plug that you just replaced.
-It could be bad crank, Cam., broken timing belt, bad ignition module or blown fuses.
-Check it out.

Good luck

I was driving and my car died and wont restart. long cranks but wont turn over. I changed the battery still no start.I checked faults codes and got p0340. I changed the cam sensor and code went away. I...

Make sure battery has a full charge. Have a helper crank it, while you visually check for spark at the spark plugs. If spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure. Also, check fuel injector pulse.

My car went from 30 miles a galllon to 20 miles a gallon it seems over nite

most likely suspect is the carb

However, I'd start with your basic tune-up first...
  • replace spark plugs
  • replace spark plug wires
  • replace Dist cap and rotor
  • replace fuel filter
  • replace air filter
  • change oil
  • adjust timing and base idle speed
  • adjust fuel mixture (if available)
Cheers

1997 mercury villager i have spark and fuel, changed wires, cap, rotor, and plugs.the car ran good yesterday, moved it and went to go somewhere last nite and turns over but dosent start.

could be distributor. remove cap and rotor and slotted wheel. look for brown dust covering optical sensor from bad bearing. If yes, replace distributor. It triggers spark and fuel injection.

Car wont start

Did you change the spark plugs one wire at a time or did you pull all the wires off an then changed the plugs? If you put the spark plug wires back on wrong this will cause some of the problems you are facing. Get a $20 manual from you parts store and it will give you the diagram and steps to put the wires on correctly. good luck and get some help from a neighbor who understands car repair.

Needs Crank sensor, that's why you have no spark, this sensor controls reference for spark to plugs. Good
