Intermittent sound Yamaha RX-V675 amplifier.

Loose wire, maybe power or remote on. Some vehicles have their own amp, which could have a problem. Could be a bad ground. Check wiring and connections.

A Samson db500a was given to me,it's a powered speaker system with built in amplifiers, it won't turn on. Does anyone know anything about this thing, schematics, test points, is it worth fixing??

i would guess a cap blew, and overheated the power transformer, should cost about $150 to fix, and the speaker is worth maybe $2-300, depending on the model

My samson servo 300's sound keeps cutting out, want to spray some electronic cleaner but not sure where ?

Yes; It maybe the protection coming on and off. This means there is a short in a speaker wire , or a blown speaker. The amp has 2 options for speaker hook up.1/4" plug and direct wire. If you are using direct wire it is possible to have frayed ends hanging around and can cause a short. You can test the speakers by unplugging them at the speaker, before you turn on the amp. Then turn it on, if the clicking still persist's turn off the amp and disconnect the speaker wires from the amp . Turn the amp back on. If the clicking still persists there is an internal problem with the amp. If not then you defiantly have either a wiring or speaker problem . You can test the speakers by using a 9v battery . Hook up the speaker wire to the speaker and put the battery on the other end of the wire, you should hear the speaker pop and see it move.If it moves it is still good. Note* this is also a good method of making sure your speakers are in phase. The battery is marked + & - the speaker will move forward when + is applied to the + of the speaker. make note of which wire is the +. if you get one speaker backwards it will cancel the sound of the bass. so hook the + to the red on the amp. Hope this helps you

When i connect battery wires to the amplifier it just blows the fuse, i have tried putting the fuse in last and it does the same thing? please help

First - disconnect ALL wires.... Power, Ground, Remote, RCA, Speakers.

Reconnect only power, and ground, and remote wire - being extra careful there are no wire strands sticking out of the terminal.

Now power on the amplifier.
If the fuse on the amplifier blows - the problem is internal and should be repaired by an electrical repair shop familiar with Car Audio Amplifiers - as Audiobahn is no longer in business - repair schematics are hard to come acros, and parts must be sourced elsewhere.

I have an old yamaha ypa-800 amp i kneed an manual to know how much wattage it is running just 2 10in subs

I have a ypa 1000 and a ypa 300 and each says exactly how many watts it runs right on the top cover.
The 1000 is 120wpc x 2, the ypa 300 is 35 wpc x 2.
So pick a middle figure closer to 100 wpc.
Peace.

Poping may be from static discharge around unit or in patch wires. This problem is not common to circuitry but with peripherals

500/1 and 300/4 jl

Need more info here. did you run power from the 500/1 to the 300/4, or did you run the signal from the 500/1 to the 300/4? Also which amplifier is cutting out for a min...the 500/1, the 300/4, or both? each amp should be wired to a distribution block with 4 awg power wire recommended for each. the amps should also be wired without any capacitor.
