It usually has to be soldered back on, if you know someone who is good at that, ask them first, it may be a costly fix if you bring it somewhere, if it still works just be very careful with it for now.

You take apart the entire laptop and either soder it back on properly or replace it with another one. Use common sense or take it to a repairer.

How can i reboot my labtop

Best way that works for me is to unplug your wall adapter, turn the unit over, and remove the battery for about five minutes.
This allows the laptop to fully de-energize and restart after replacing the battery and plugging the adapter back in.

My labtop mouse just stopped working. I rebooted

Unplug it, count to 10, plug it back in, count to 10 and it should work.
If not, try it in another computer.
If it doesn't work on either computer it is defective.

how old is the laptop/battery? rechargable batteries sometime with age; I'm told, over time lose their ability to hold a charge. As far as model number number, usually at the bottom side on the sticker you can find all information you need.

the problem you got is the wire to the lcd or power supply.I can do that with my laptop as a prank just by pulling the wire, if it go's out and you got a desktop computer plug the wire in the side or back or whatever of your laptop then the moniter will show your information hope this helps!
-Tressdon
(ps) if its the wire leading to your screen depending on your laptop there could be a panel you can take off just up from your keybord take it off and push the wires if you can see them or you can just call a computer expert to pick up your laptop and fix it.

Sony labtop dvd driver disappeared?

Why not take the laptop back in time. You won't lose any data.

Start > Help and Support > Undo changes made to my computer > Restore my computer to an earlier time.

Make sure that you pick a date prior to your problem starting.

You will lose any programs that were installed after that date, but no data.

First Try charging the battery fully, then try turning on the computer. If it goes out suddenly it will more than likely need to be replaced.

You can request a new battery from the gateway website under customer support.

If you are not sending the battery back and are planning to throw it out if it is no good, Refer to the Material Safety and Data Sheet for proper disposal.
