Question about Canon imageCLASS MF5770 All-In-One Laser Printer

Powers on when plugged in with no display on LCD. Laser engine spins up then shuts down. Nothing is ever displayed on LCD. If left plugged in, the power up/shutdown recycles about every minute.

I am wondering what failure conditions would cause a power up reset? How many power supply voltages does this printer use?

If still not solve your problem.

The problem might be the cable between the board and the LCD is connected properly. Try disconnecting and reconnecting. If this does not solve the problem, the next thing to do is replace the LCD. If this doesn't solve the problem, the main board is defective.

Note: Do not fix it out if your are not sure what to do. Try to ask help some technician so that it will not make worsen the problem.

If it had warranty or the Canon can repair it for free even not under warranty. Return it to them.

    Regards

Also, try to put it to other power source location

Hi

look at your statement. Your problem is similar to the problem of the panel boards. you need to do troubleshooting on your panal boards with boards that function. If you are familiar with the troubleshooting work you have to provide a set of the same printer model to troubleshooting, but if you are less skilled you will require a person who specializes in such work to help you perform the troubleshooting guide as well as continuing to ensure no damage is worst happen.

regards

Yes. usually a problem on the panel will cause a problem like that you face, if your printer can be in stable condition, meaning does not have a problem on the boards, there is still a chance for you to do other troubleshooting process, but the problems you cause you have no chance to do it so.

With both the LCD out and the power cycling, chances are it either is the main board that went or something like a electrical surge damaged a few components.
Unfortunately this isn't gonna be something that you can really fix unless you order the right parts and tear it apart.
Best option is contacting a Canon authorized repair center near you and getting it fixed if it is still within a year of purchase under Canon's warranty. You can still get it fixed outside of the warranty, but its generally cheaper to replace the unit.
If you want to look into getting it repaired, you can find a repair center near you at Canon's website: http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/printers_multifunction/imageclass_series/imageclass_mf5770?pageKeyCode=25

Hp laptop powers up -no screen display

Shine a flashlight on the dark screen to see if you barelysee the icons on the desktop. If so, then the LCD Inverter is bad.

Plug in an external monitor and see if the display shows up on it. It can beany kind of monitor even the old big fat crt monitors as long as it has a vgacable to connect to your computer's vga port. If so that proves yourvideo card is ok. The video will show on most systems when you rebootwithout you having to do anything. Some systems will require you to hit the FN(Function key) + F1 thru F12. Hold down the FN key then hit the correctkey for displaying on the monitor (F1 thru F12). The correct key willnormally have CRT/LCD on it or it will have the icon of a display.

If you see no icons by shinning a flash light and the external monitor works, then your screen is bad. If you see no icons by shinning the flash lightand nothing shows on the external monitor, then most likely your video card isbad.

Powers on but nothing on the screen

Try to plug a CRT or LCD monitor to your vga adapter (color blue) at the back below of your screen. If there is a display with external crt or lcd monitor that means your lcd monitor have a problem. In that case you need to replace your lcd monitor.

My HP pavilion ze1250 powers up, the fan spins, but does nothing.

Is the ac adapter plugged in ? Have you tried to boot it up with removing the battery and using just the ac adapter? Sometimes you are drawing so much current from a bad battery that the computer won't start up at all.

Compaq V5005us is weird. Powers on with black screen and freezes

It sounds like your Video card and/or motherboard are starting to give out or your LCD is giving way. Try plugging the laptop into an external screen and see if it still acts strangely or even displays on the external monitor.

Elo 17" LCD Touch screen ET1725L Powers off after 1 second

Your problem lies ion either your back light inverter or in the backlight tubes ( bulbs) which are embedded in the LCD display. The display has 4 ccf tubes inside of it that provide the backlighting. if any of these tubes are bad the backlight inverter will shut off after about 1 second. Because there are 4 of these tubes inside the screen you may not notice ( brightness wise) if 1 of them is out.

You can buy another backlight inverter( about $70.00 US) however, from my experience that would be a waste of money. Unfortunately, I think your problem probably lies in your LCD and the backlight tubes are not replaceable.

Hope this helps all who have this problem.
Good luck
