One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect your hard drive
Test the leads that attach to your ((hard drive from the motherboard)) or replace all the leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions + IDE,SATA and the ones that attach from your ((motherboard to hard drive))
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they are probably old and faulty a computer needs its connections needs its connections continue its cycle and to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error
hope this helps

Check your RAM. The RAM is located in the middle of the motherboard. There are tabs that you can push to release the RAM. Loose RAM can cause your computer not to start properly where you want to see a video signal.Take the opportunity to clean the slots on the motherboards and the memory module connectors.Do not use solvent that may attract dust and never poke things like cotton buds in to slots, lightly rub an alcohol (Methylated Spirits) on a cloth not to hard let the alcohol do the work on the copper gold or silver tabs and allow the pins to dry then reseat them.Make sure your graphics card is securely seated with no dust built up or in the socket if you remove your graphics check the socket to make sure its dust free Restart your computer then reinstall it this should activate found new hardware wizard

Monitor no signal acer M1640

Check the cable at the back of the monitor and at the back of the computer. If the cables are in tight and you still get the no signal error message you either have a bad monitor or a bad video card in the computer.

Try plugging another monitor into the computer (borrow one from a friend, neighbor or family member if you don't have one). If the monitor does the same thing and shows a no signal message like your original monitor, then the Video Card in the computer is bad. If the monitors works, then your original monitor is bad.

maybe the problem is the video card try to upgrade it or maybe your monitor is to old, but try to isolate the problem if you have an extra computer, try first to switch it with other video if you have an extra one and play your favorite game maybe this will solve your prob. i hope this simple tips will help solve your problem : )

No video

Try connecting a known working monitor and see if you have video.
If you are connected to onboard video, you will need to get a video card, see which type you need, AGP, PCI Express or PCI and go buy it.
I hope this helps.
Good luck and have a pleasent day.

Hey, my computer screen doesn't work when my computer starts ?

If you have hooked up the computer to another monitor and you still have no display, then your video might be bad. If you have display with another monitor, then you know your monitor is bad or the connection is bad. Be sure to check the connection, sometimes the video cable loosens and if that is the case you won't have any display.
I haven't looked up the "specs" on this system, but if you don't have any display with another known good monitor that works, you will have to determine if you have a video card or onboard video. If you need to replace the video, and have onboard, you need to have an open slot on the motherboard, there should be an open PCI or VGA slot available for a video card. In any case, if there is onboard video, you need to disable it in the setup after you install the new video card. Good luck hope this helps.

9 in 1 card reader not working on acer AM3100 computer. Where should I start?

for a start i would run a windows update. sometimes (not all the time) it will have a new driver for your hardware. if that does not work I would uninstall the card reader drivers and reinstall them.

It has video card already, just make sure the video card driver is correct. Mkae sure to set the PC video resolution to the native resolution of this Acer, which is 1280 x 1024 @60Hz.

Upgrading graphics card

Connect the monitor to the onboard video connector first. then
you need to disable the on-board graphics in the BIOS save the setting and shutdown. Then connect the monitor to the GeForce video connector and boot up then you will get a video signal on the GeForce video card.

Computer or Monitor problem?

Seems like you have a bad motherboard. Try a different keyboard, mouse, and VGA cable, and see if it works. I fnot then you deffinitely need a new motherboard.
