The most common issue is the lint filter in the cabinet below the door. Remove the acces panel and ther should be a screw cap facing you, get a bucket to catch the water as it pour out when you unscrew the cap. There is a filter in there that gets plugged, once cleaned out the pump will drain the unit. Also check the discharge hose for blockage, you can actually kill 2 birds with one stone by using a shop vac to finish draining the washer through the discharge hose. If something is in the hose the vacuume should remove it with the water.
If you find this advice helpful I would appreciate a vote on the thumbs up. If you need more help after checking this then please get back with me. Thanks

The solution I posted earlier is still what I would do. The cabinet I was refering to is basically the bottom of the machine, under the tub is the drain pump and lint filter. Chances are you have a blockage or pump fault, try lowering the outlet hose into a bucket or bowl, if water flows then it is a pump or associated wiring fault but if no water comes out or very little then you have a blockage probably in the sump.

I believe these are the instructions for your machine if not then I will find them for you.

Press "Stop/Cancel" and turn off the Frigidaire washing machine. Unplug from power.

    2
Set towels under the hoses in the rear of the washer and disconnect the drain hose. Clean the drain hose screen and look for debris where the hose connects to the washer. Clean as necessary.

    3
Remove the front access panel from the washing machine and locate the drain pump. Remove the screw clamp and clean out any debris that may be causing an obstruction.

    4
Clean the sump hose that is connected to the trap cup and reassemble. Close the front access panel.

    5
Restore power and press "Drain/Spin" to remove any remaining water from the tub.

Locked lite is on machine wont work

Hello,

If in addation to the light being on and the door is actually locked the most likely problem will be because not all the water drained out of the washer.... the door lock is tied into the water level sensors in the washer and until the water level sensor determines that water has drained it will not unlock the door. The usual reason the water hasnt drained is because the filter screen on the drain pump is built up with debris and the water can not drain,This tip i wrote will tell ya how to take apart the washer to access the pumpo and clean the fliter screen.

Door lock will not release..will not work even with pushing the pause button

Hello,

The usual reason the door will not unlock is because all the water has not drained from the washer...the door lock is tied together with the water level components and until the water level level switch is satisfied the wate r has drained,it will not allow the door to unlock. Typically the reason the water hasnt drained fully is because of a blockage in the filter on the pump.
This tip i wrote will tell ya how to clean that filter on the pump.

Will not hold water ,when filling it just drains out

I just had this problem also. The reason I was having this problem was that I was letting the draining hose run into my bath tub to drain. Because of this the water was immediately draining out of the washer. So I had to hook the draining hose onto my bathroom sink to drain. By raising the hose higher, the washer filled up with water and worked just fine. Hope this helps.

The water is entering the washer, but is not

Either the drain hose is too far into the drain or drain hose is too tight in the drain . Make sure the drain hose is NOT taped to the drain (to keep the drain pipe from overflowing ) All of these will cause a syphon problem , where water will be "pulled out" of the machine by your sewer line , as water is filling your machine for wash (usually rinse cycle).

Washer less than a year old. Top loading. Will

Have you moved recently, or moved the washer for any reason?

Two things can usually cause that.

First, Some part of the drain hose must always be higher than the highest possible water level in the machine. Remember that water flows downhill. If all the hose is lower then the highest possible water level the machine can never fill since water will drain out hose. So, raise the hose higher than the flat top of the washer and try again.

2A, Inserting the drain hose too far into the house drain. or 2B, sealing out ALL air in the drain line by using a hose too tight in the drain pipe or taping the drain pipe tightly with the drain hose in it can both create a vacuum in the drain line which will actually **** out all the water in the tub. This can be tested by pulling the drain all the way out and aiming it into the tub as you try it. Good Luck.

Washer is not spinning fast enough clothes are wet at one point i think i put in too much soap and it said draining problem

If this is a HE front load washer. MAke sure your drain hose is not shuved too far down the drain pipe. Water will syphen back into the washer and clothes will be wet. Drain hose should be in drain pipe 8 inches. See you ownwers manual for drain hose recomemdations. Reason why it says drasining problem is because maybe water is sysphening back into washer and pump is taking long to drain and operating too long and washer senses it. So check your drain hose and make sure its not to far down the drain pipe..re adjust if it is and wash your clothes and see if problem persists...hope this helps

Water leaking during drain and spin

Hi!

You Need to check the following--

The fill hoses : These are located behind the washer and are connected to the water mixing valve and faucets. Pin holes and cracks on the hoses may cause them to leak.

The water valve: The water mixing valve is located behind the washer. The fill hoses connect to the water mixing valve. Inside of the valve is that the water gets directed to the filling spout. Water leaks happens when the valve develop pin holes or cracks. Bad fill hoses or water valve could be the reason why the washer is leaking water.

The Filling spout: Is just a directing part, this part directs the water from the water valve to the tank. Pin holes and cracks is what make this part to leak.

The tank : The major cause for the tank to leak is through holes or cracks that the tank develops because of vibration or metal items hitting the tank during the spin cycle.

The tub seal : The tub seal is made of rubber, it is connected between the transmission post and the center of the tank. Leaks developed when the seal gets worn out and it looses the ability to make a good seal between the transmission and the tank. A crack tank or worn out tub seal could be the reason why the washer is leaking water.

The overflow tube : This tube is use to direct the water away from any electrical parts like the motor in case of an overflow cause by a bad water mixing valve or bad water level switch.

The pump : The pump job is to remove the water from the tank to the drain pipe. This pump has an electric motor and an impeller. When the pump motor is turning, any water that falls in to the impeller, is push out to the drain pipe.

Most leaks are cause by a worn out seal between the front pump housing and the rear one.

The drain hose : The drain hose is made of hard plastic and some times it develops pin holes and cracks leaks. Bad pump or drain hose could be the reason why the washer is leaking water.

Thanks for using FixYa and do rate the solution as Fixya if found helpful.

The water keeps running and it does not fill up.

If there is no water on the floor, it would have to be that the water entering the washer is going through the drain tube because it is too low, or for some odd reason the drain pump could actually be running, pumping out the water as its entering the washer. If there is water on the floor, there could be a leak anywhere along the drain tubing, the drain pump itself, or even the drum/basket seal.

Whirlpool Washer - Imperial Series Quiet Wash 2

your washers drain hose is too far down the drain pipe which is causing a siphoning action pull the washers drain hose out pipe some you should be able to hear water dropping into the pipe the reason it only happens in the rinse cycle is because the water from wash is being drained and before the water vacuum is broken the rinse water comes in causing it to keep draining
