Try calling Asus support on the telephone. Seriously. They usually provide toll free numbers and their support people are very helpful.
Hope this helps!

ASUS K52F Motherboard removal

Buy, and wear an ESD wrist strap, or use your motherboard for a Frisbee. ("Wow! Look at that THING Go!")

Use a multi-compartment container for the various screws you will remove.
Label each compartment for the area the screw/s come out of.
SOME screws look VERY similar to other screws.
Advise DO NOT mix them up!

Make drawings, and notes as you disassemble.
Use a digital camera, or video camera, or at least a phone camera, and GOOD lighting.

You don't need a Soldering Station.
A low wattage soldering iron (25 Watt?), Rosin Core solder, rosin paste flux, paste flux brush, Desoldering Braid. (Solder Wick)

[I will use Desoldering Braid over a Solder Su-cker tool, ANYDAY.
(Desoldering Tool) ]

Want to replace just the keyboard on a k52f asus and have not been able to find one.. can you help?

Hello jamirow,
I've given you a "Link" to the "ASUS Support" where you can Download
a Manual that you need.
"You will have to 'enter' information; such as the Operating System?
"eg: Vista or Windows 7...?"
Once you've done so; you should be able to get the 'correct' Manual!
"Best Regards"

Some buttons dosent work at all,and some are like pushed-hold "rrrrrrrrrrr". it is a k52f i5 430m,aquired in juanary this year,i am writing using the virtual console.......any sugesrions pls?!

It sounds like you may have dirt/dust/crumbs trapped under your keys. The keyboards on Asus notebooks seem particularly prone to this problem. Turn the computer off and then hold it, while open, so the keyboard is upside down, shake very gently, and tap lightly on the sides. This will help to dislodge any crud that has found its way under your keys. I use this particular solution on my own Asus notebook when I have keyboard problems. Additionally, you could purchase a canister of compressed air, one with the long straw nozzle attachment, and use that to dislodge and remove debris from under the keys.
