Question about Computers & Internet
I've bought a new IBM thinkpad x61 with ultrabase. I burned a DVD from my old laptop(Toshiba) and tried to see whether the DVD reader inside of ultrabase of IBM works or not. However, it turns out the it does not read DVD that I've burnt!
Is this a normal thing or do I have to return this product?
Thank you so much for your help!
It sounds like you may need a DVD decoder, also called a codec. You can find codecs at IBM's support site or download.com. Try a codec or different codec to get the x61 to read the burned disc. Also keep in mind that some drives are just picky when it comes to reading burned DVD's.
