First try shutting system down, unplug tower for 1 minute and restart. Give it time to come up and if that doesn't work, shut it down again and try to start in "safe mode" do you get any screen at all? If you can start in safe mode try going to "control panel'", "device manager" then "personaliztion", and adjust your resolution. If you can't adjust your resolution in safe mode do a "system restore" back to when monitor worked.

Message on monitor says " no analog signal".

If you are getting no post display on boot up (dell spash screen, and windows loading screen):

First step is to plug a different monitor into the computer. If this works you most likely have a bad monitor. If not then it is a hardware issue with the video card on the computer.

If you getting the post screen then you may have your resolution set to high, boot in safe mode (F8 on the key board right after the post screen) and chose safe mode. once windows comes up, right click the back ground and chose a lower resolution setting.

Hope this helps

When I attempt to play a video game from my computer, a message pops up in the middle of the screen that says "input signal out of range." the game functions normally, but the message stays in...

It is because the game want to feed the video resolution that is higher than the monitor can support.

You need to lower your PC video resoltion to the native resolution of this monitor, but your game may not display properly.

Monitor malfunction?

Ok right click the desktop choose properties and then scree resoloution in there change the slider to a higher resoloution say 1280x1024 32bit, or 1024x768 32bit. see if that helps. Also you might like to press the Auto key on monitor so it will reset itself.

Use another monitor to make sure the resoloution on graphics card is not to high, or the refresh rate is at lowest setting then try plug in monitor.

The screen always has to be adjusted horizontally. It always is too far to the left.

go into control panel and set your screen resoloution to the correct amount. you will know when it's correct because it will look perfect.

Cannot remove "input signal out of range"

input signal out of range would normally indicate the the screen resoloution is either too high or too low for the monitor to display properly.

is this on just one game? which version of windows do you use?

Menu settings always pop up on screen

I have only heard of this once before and it was the bios for the monitor was not storing the settings for the screen resoloutions.
When you first run an LCD it sets all of this and stores the refresh rates etc in the LCD's bios. If that begins to fail, then it can not remember being used at that resoloution and will ask you to set it up as it would in the factory.

You would need to get the exact same bios chip for your monitor from DELL (good luck)

It is the inverter board that is causing the screen to be feint. But is was the video resoloution being set too high that made it give the "out of range" message.
It's not easy to get anywhere to repair LCD monitors, and the prices could be well out of scope to bother with the repair.
Having said that, you can now call a few TV repair centres close to you and ask for a quote based on repairing the inverter circuit.
Hope that helps =)
