Canon PowerShot SD1400 IS IXUS 130 Digital Camera Logo
Anonymous Posted on Apr 04, 2011

I recently bought my Canon Powershot SD1400 IS camera and it works perfectly but today I shook the camera and head a small rattle sound. So far, my research online says that it might be the orientation sensor and if so it is nothing to be concerned about. But I want to be safe and ask the question here since I didn't really get a direct answer anywhere else. Thanks!

Do not worry...the "shake" control (image stabilization) rattles on most cameras...if it didn't, it wouldn't work.

Canon powershot sd1400 says memory card locked

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge.
The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

I have a Canon Power shot sd1400 is. I have about 300 pictures that I would like to delete all at once instead of one by one. Is that possible?

Yea, i got mine today. So press your Menu button and you'll see two lists on the screen. It'll automatically be on the camera one but switch over to the wrench and the hammer one. Now scroll down until your at the option Format and it should say at the bottom of the screen (deletes all pictures off memory card) or something to the effect. And ur good to go! Hope this helps

Brand new canon powershot sd1400 and it says memory card error. I have tried multiple memory cards and it is in the slot correctly Please help!

You need to go to the menu screen, scroll over to the tools option, scroll down to format and format the memory card. I just had this same problem and this is what worked for us!

Cannot take a shot

"It can take very clear and vibrant pictures, and it lives up to the high expectation that the IXUS/Powershot brand has forged over the years, particularly for premium models such as this one. However, its button design and build quality are from perfect and can make the camera frustrating to use. Nevertheless, if you want a very small camera that can capture great images, it's hard to overlook the Canon IXUS 130 IS/PowerShot SD1400 IS."

I am not gettin any sound in video playback in canon ixus 130 camera....dont know what happened

Check your settings in the menus. If you've muted the camera to remove the other sounds, it will mute the video soundtrack as well.
