I am having the same issue. Did you find a solutions? Looks like websites I've searched talk about resetting the controls by hitting either high temp wash -> airdry -> high temp wash -> air dry OR saniwash -> air dry -> saniwash -> air dry. I'll have to try that tonight.
The light blinking seven times is a error code specifically it's error #7 .The E-7 error indicates the part called the flow meter is bad. To clear that error code and get the dishwasher to start push within 3 seconds HIGH TEMP WASH -HEATED DRY-HIGH TEMP WASH- HEATED DRY
then push CANCEL sereval times to dishwasher shuts off..it should start and run then
If the blinks 7 times again the flowmeter will need to be replaced
ON some models the "HIGH TEMP WASH" button is labled power scrub instead of high temp wash so in that case push POWER SCRUB-HEATED DRY-POWER SCRUB-HEATED DRY then cancel as described above
In case the E-7 error returns and the flowmeter needs to be replaced the part number for it is W10195536
Thanks for using FixYa. If the clean light flashes, pauses, and then repeats. When the dishwasher doesn't sense a water temperature increase, it stops working and locks the functions (clean light flashes, all buttons are non responsive). It does this as a safety in case the element is broken and feeding electrical current into the water.
To resolve this you will have to reset the console. Do this by closing the door and press these buttons in sequence... -high temp wash -heated dry -high temp wash -heated dry
Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
That will start a short diagnostic cycle (last about 2 minutes) that will clear the blinking light and allow you to use the dishwasher. If the light comes back, your drying cycle has failed and you will need service.
The cleam light blinking means that the unit was not able to reach a proper heated wash cycle. Either your heating element failed orthe actual sump/pump motor system has failed. Check the element in the botton and see if it looks broken anywhere. If you can see a broken spot, you will k now that is the trouble.
It will take 60 hours, if you never open the doors. Best way for you to check is get a digital thermometer with a high and low memory and stick it in the very back of the freezer compartment, up against the back wall towards the bottom. When it reads your freezer temp. say between 0 - 10 degree, reset it and leave it go for a couple days. When you see the high memory show 40 - 50 degrees, it defrosted. If the hi memory doesn't go above, say 15 or so, It didn't defrost. Thats the easiest way without having a test board to hook up. defrost cycle is programmed based on number of door openings and average temp, so on so forth. But a maximum of 60 hours. If it goes about three days and doesn't defrost then you still have a problem, and it could take about a week before your fridge temp rises again and start the cycle of not cooling all over again.
Puppa, clear the fault by pressing the keys in this order: high temp scrb--air dry--high temp scrub--air dry. Or, depending on your model..Sani rinse--air dry--sani rinse--air dry. The dishwasher will enter the service mode. Let it do it's thing or advance it through it by pressing the start key. The fault came from the board not sensing a rise in the water temp. Make sure to run the hot water before starting the dishwasher. The heating element runs through the nuetral side of the door switch so make sure the d/w is level and the door switches are all making. The element itself could be at fault. Catriver...post back
I too had Flashing Clean light and only responded to Cancel light by trying to drain. Whirlpool Model DU1145. I too got problem to clear by pushing High temp,Heated dry, High temp and Heated dry. All lights on display lit up then it went through sequences of all cycles.
