Question about RCA VR632HF VCR

1 Answer

Daughter inserted a dime. Tried to remove dime by shaking it out but power had not been unpluged, Looking around on the inside I foun 3 Resistors the hav dis colored PCB. Resistors are in the operational circut and should read 100, 82, 82 ohm and they all read 29 ohm. these resistors are located behind the display. When power is applied there is an audible "tick from what sounds like a relay but no operation or display.

Your resisters are shot ... that happens whan any metal thing can damage or pass the electric current through the resistors ... these resisters are applied to resist electricity not to spoil them ??:) any how if you can replace them with a new ones check your local market its easy to replace them with soldiering wire and (kawia )the metal scree driver thing that is attached to power ,... it melts the soldiering wire to connect it to the board

i hope it helps you

Daughter put a dime in car charger opening, after removing dime phones will not charge, pulled the 20a fuse for cig/car charger and replaced it with a new one, still does not work???

is there power in wire to lighter. if not the coin may have shorted the wiring out. to check it, run a wire from a 12 volt source to the lighter. if it works then hook this wire to it, and put a fuse in the line some where. good-day ! but leave the old fuse in its own spot. it may be powering something else. if not just remove it.

Grandson put a penny into the SD slot while the TV was on. It immediately stopped working.

This happened to me yesterday. My daughter put a penny and a dime in the SD slot and none of the buttons or volume were working on my TV.Only the power button would work.
I fixed it by simply removing the penny and dime out of the SD slot and then i held the power button for 10 seconds. After I unplugged the TV from its power source for 5 minutes and then plug it back in. When I turned the TV back on everything was back to normal.
For a second I thought I was going to have to buy a new TV, lol. Hope this helps. If it doesn't work the first time then try it a second time.
By the way I have a Panasonic PT-52LCX66 LCD Projection TV..

My HP Pavillion laptop g61 wont turn on or off. There is no fan running it doesnt sound like it is on but the power button light is on and wont turn off. The screen just stays black. I have tried charging...

I had trouble looking up that model on the HP page, but you should check this page and see if this model is affected by this NVidia litigation. If it is, you can get it fixed/replaced on NVidia's dime.

Good luck!

I have had my Magic Chef MCBR360S in my garage for about 2 years. Worked fine. Now it just stopped working. Any suggesstions?

Unplug and try connecting the thermostat wires together,if it comes on then replace the thermostat. If while unplugged remove the start relay and overload on the compressor. Shake around to see if anything shakes around inside re install and give that a try, Sea Breeze

i also had the same problem in my new brought controller. its just because of breakage of wire from inside it will be done if you shake your controller's wire from the side joint by the controller, if it doesn't work then take it to a good electrician......

Can't Open DVD Player

This worked for me:

Don't bother with the tech support line. Take a philips screwdriver and remove the 2 large screws on the sides of the unit, then the 3 screws in back that attach the shell to the main body of the unit. Slide the shell back. You can now access the DVDs that your Sony player has kidnapped.

This is totally ghetto, but you CAN change discs now. I bought the unit for $99, and tech support wanted me to ship the unit on my own dime, plus pay $99 for a refurbished unit, PLUS shipping back to me. This was their best solution. :|

You can try unplugging the wires/cables inside and then re-inserting them, but it didn't work for me. I recommend turning the power off first.

I will probably use the changer this way for a while, but I'll be looking for a new unit to replace it with.

I really thought I was safe buying this big name brand, and the unit served me well for 2 years... Next time I'll do more research first, because this seems like a common issue.
