Question about Cameras
I'm not sure what kind of camera you have but where you recently at a beach or someplace the sand or dirt could have gotten on the lens? My suggestion is if the lens cover opens but it doesn't come out to use an old tooth brush (try to avoid the glass part of the lens) to brush out any items that may be sticking it. I would also use a can of compressed air to blow out the lens area to clear out anything. It these items don't work try bringing it to a reputable camera store most will try to fix it for a cheap price (10-20 buck) this is if it's a simple fix and doesn't need to be taken apart.
