Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

I have a paper jam in my mx 340 Canon. I cannot see any paper but can hear it. I assume there is a door I'm missing. Where are all the doors? The manual doesn't cover any of this. Thanks.

There is a door at the back of most printers also to fit a duplexer (double sided printing module). This may be were the jam is.

Canon IR 2016j, paper jams on every copy. How do i fix it?

Dear Abdullah
pl. check the machine base where it stay, it should be plain and firm.
Next check the left side door(test it by pushing inside while making copy). check the fixing assembly and paper path, may be toner clogged on its surface.
If your machine covered more than 200000 A4 copies, check the paper path (guide) at registration sensor and delivery guide at fixing unit.
If the paper jam at paper pickup tray, replace the pickup roller set (2nos.)

Since you have not mentioned the page counter and where paper jam occurs, its difficult to assume more.

thanks.

How do I fix a Canon MP460 printer that feeds multiple sheets at a time, even for a one-page document, causing a paper jam?

Assumed you have cleaned out the feeding slot and sprockets that turn the feeder wheels. Often there's some piece of paper or gunk. One option that likely applies to most printers -- from another HP online source: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00190540&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en
  1. Look for paper that might have jammed inside the product. Use a flashlight to carefully view the areas around the rollers. Remove all traces of paper found.
  2. Wipe the rubber paper-feed rollers with a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled or bottled water. Rotate the rollers up carefully to clean all the way around.
  1. Look for the paper pick roller farther inside the rear access area. The paper pick roller
IMPORTANT : The paper pick roller is a bit more difficult to reach; however, it is the most important part to clean. Make sure to clean it thoroughly. If this roller is not clean, the issue will likely continue.
  2. Clean the paper pick roller with a cotton swab moistened with distilled or bottled water. Apply a moderate amount of pressure to make sure that you remove all debris. Clean the roller thoroughly all the way around. Figure 8: Clean the paper pick roller

  3. Make sure that the rollers on the rear access door or duplexer are clean and in good condition. If any are missing, stuck, or loose, replace the rear access door or duplexer with a new one. Figure 9: Rear access door rollers

  4. Allow the rollers to dry completely, and then replace the rear access door or duplexer. Slide the rear access door or duplexer into place, and then gently push it in until it clicks or snaps into place.

Clean the vertical path rollers .they are located in the right door. check for obstructions. inspect your right door for broken parts and missing pressure springs that keep pressure on those vertical rollers. Make sure the right door is shut firmly.

Canon MX 310 printer says it has a paper jam. I found one and cleared the but can't find any more. But, I can't clear the printer so it keeps giving me the same message and won't print.

Try this. turn off the printer and unplug it

open the paper jam door and give the paper roller a gentle roll upward (forward) until you hear a click. reclose the door. Leave the printer unplugged for a few minutes.Plug your printer back in and restart it.

I hope this works for you. If not let me know!
