The internal memory of the camera must have been used, remove the SD card and go to menu, locate "format" and follow the prompt to erase all pictures, when this is completed you can install the memory card back in the digital camera and you should be good to go.

Why does the brand new SD card say it's full when it's not?

Most of the time, SD cards are empty but it says that it is full. This happens because of the incorrect file system issue. So, format the card and check again. On formating, the SD card will show no data.

When I try to take a picture, it says memory full. But, when I try to look at the memory it says no file. I tried using the disk, installing software, formatting it.. Nothing works. The SD memory card is...

Format the SD card make sure the camera is set to place the new files on the SD card and not go to the internal memory. What I fully expect is the camera has defaulted to using the internal memory which is now full of files/pictures and needs to be set back to SD card. To get the pictures from the internal memory to your computer you need to load the pictures one by one from the internal memory to the SD card. Then take them from the SD card ether to a card reader to the computer or download them from the camera to the computer.

We put a new 4gb flash card in and on the display it says no memory card,we then put the old memory card in and that says memory full but says theres no photos on the memory??pls help

Your camera probbaly does not use SDHC... just SD...
Find an SD memory card, it will work. The 4GB card says "SDHC", not "SD".

Please post the brand and model or whatever you can ... which camera?

2GB SD card is brand new but camera says it is full.

Some of the older cameras will not take the bigger cards. You can use the bigger card with your computer to store your photos.

New 2 GB Memory cards say cards full when installed

The SD card may have to be reformated. You should do this in the camera you want to use the SD card with. Do not format the card with your computer.

In you manual or on the menu of your camera there is a "Format" procedure. follow that and your camera will work again (REMEMBER) if you have images on the SD card down load them before you format the card.

Once you down load the images from your camera you should reformat the card to clear it in order to shoot more images.

New memory card will not work

this camera is actually really compatible with the 2gb sd card, anything higher will give you that message. since you have the right kind but still won't work - 2 possibilities:

camera memory ready issue > repair necessary
defective card> try another one

You will have to check this out on the manual. There is a full manual on the software CD
