I'm partial to using a nettop computer with an HDMI port as a media center PC. Be sure to get a remote that has a keyboard and touchpad for couch-side input.

No sound on lg tv when internet pandora is streaming

Be sure the audio out from the roku or whatever box you are using is connected to an available input on the tv. Also, the tv must be set to the same input as you connected to.

I have a Roku, which allows me to transfer Netflix films to my TV. Since we no longer have a WiFi it must be attached by wire. I have a Linksys Cisco router. Can yo give me directions on installing both...

Okay, the router "if needed" first. Do you need a router? A router is used mainly to connect multiple devices to one internet connection. The Roku is one, if you have computer(s) also, then yes you need a router. Is the Linksys router wireless?
From the wall the coaxial cable TV/internet cable goes into the cable modem and another coaxial to the Cable box. Wire to the TV as desired. From the cable modem to the router use a RJ 45 cable into the WAN/Internet port. Now use another RJ 45 cable to the Roku and RJ 45's to the other ports marked 1 to 4 as needed for computers. If the Linksys router is wireless you can set up everything wirelessly.
Instructions for setting up the Roku is at the link below.

To set up roku with netflix

To setup a ROKU player for the first time can be a tedious process. There are many steps but it can be done. You have to have high-speed internet service and a router linked into your home network. You need an ethernet cable for a wired router or you need a wireless router.
Look at the following

LIVE CHAT is available on the ROKU website
Also support forums. Many issues have already been solved.

Basically your TV is connected to the ROKU box which is connected to your router which is connected to your internet service. You must have a current NETFLIX account setup.
You need a computer to activate Netflix. Use the ROKU remote to startup the process and follow the instructions on your TV. Look at this video on setting up ROKU.

I am trying to set up my roku with my router and I cannot find roku.com/link on the web.

Place the Roku box on your TV or entertainment center and plug it into the wall outlet. Connect the box to your TV with the included AV or HDMI cable. Insert the included batteries into the Roku remote.

  • 2 Turn on the Roku and the TV. Press the "Input" or "Source" button on the TV remote until the Roku menu appears. Follow the instructions until the wireless setup screen appears. Use the remote to select your network and input your Wi-Fi network access code, then press "next."
  • 3 Turn on your computer and log in. Start your Internet browser and type "roku.com/link" in the address bar. Press "Enter."
  • 4 Set up a Roku account if your don't already have one. Enter the code that appears on your TV screen to finish the setup process.
