Most MP3 players should work with bearshare. Outside bearshare check if you can open the file when you go in your hardrive. If you cannot then there could be a problem with the MP3 player you are using. Right click the music file and select 'open with' and look for the MP3 player installed if none is listed go to the default application option. If there is none or it would not still play or have it recognized, have the player re-installed. Remember to restart.
