My Samsung LN-T4069F momentarily shuts off and restarts frequently. The shut down is very short. Is this a firmware issue?

Samsung dlp tv shutting down

Short of having a shop look at it make sure all 3 (this one should have 3) fans are not covered in dust or dirty---

other possible issues are the lamp and or the Ballast that drives it.

SAMSUNG HT X30 SHUTS DOWN WITH" PROTECTION"

It's a known issue with samsung Home Cinemas. It has to do with the cooling of the device and other related issues. One of the bellow could solve the problems.
First thing is to reset the device:#1 - Make sure there's on dvds in the system
#2 - Put it on stand by
#3 - Hold down the STOP button on the UNIT
#4 - HOLD until you see the stand-by light flash
#6 - This has now reset the system

If that doesn't work try to do a firmware upgrade http://www.samsung.com/in/support/detail/supportPrdDetail.do?menu=SP01&prd_ia_cd=&prd_mdl_cd=&prd_mdl_name=HT-X30

I need to reboot my laptop but i don't know how

Reboot essentially means restarting the computer. This is two types
1. Warm Reboot: where you go to start on windows task bar and choose shut down but when prompted choose restart. This way computer shuts down momentarily and restarts!
2. Cold Reboot: By this means you choose to shut down and again when prompted choose shut down! This makes computer off completely until restart by pressing power button.
Booting is computer Lingo for above procedures!

I agree with Samsung. Tuner issues can be problematic. Since it's only a 19 incher, I'd just buy a new one!

Outlook Free/Busy error

Hope this solves it for you! Here's the official word from Microsoft:
If you receive one or more of these error messages, you may experience performance issues until Outlook finishes the reconciliation process for the .ost file or for the .pst file. The following gear icon is displayed in the status bar while Outlook checks the data file in the background: Collapse this imageExpand this imageol2007gearicon.jpg When this icon disappears, the .pst file or the .ost file is reconciled. If you exit Outlook while the gear icon is present, reconciliation must restart the next time that you run Outlook. We recommend that you leave Outlook running until the gear icon disappears before you exit Outlook.

An incorrectly shut down .ost file or .pst file may occur for one of the following reasons:
  • Antivirus scanning of the file
  • Forced Microsoft Windows shutdown before the Outlook.exe process shuts down completely
  • Outlook add-ins
If you see this issue frequently, and you have to exit Outlook shortly before you shut down your computer, it may be better to shut down Windows while Outlook is still running. We recommend that you do this instead of exiting Outlook and then shutting down Windows shortly after that.

Sony LCD 52 inch

This sound like you are having problems with the power supply board. Since you are getting a momentary picture and sound the fuses are good but TVs today have "shorts" and "overvoltage" circuitry build in that will shut it down on errors. Someone knowledgeable in electronics will have to isolate the exact cause.

What can I buy / replace to fix my tv? I have a 4 year old Samsung LCD (LNT4069FX/XAA.) A few months ago the image started ghosting, or flickering and repeating itself multiple times down the screen, accompanied by a slight discoloration and / or darkening. At first I could "fix" the problem by gently applying pressure around the frame, or by swiveling the TV on it's stand back and forth. Once the problem was "fixed" the picture was perfect, and would remain that way until the TV was turned off, where I would have to start all over again the next time it was turned on (usually at least a few hours if not over night in between.) Eventually the turning / applying pressure did nothing. The TV would however "fix" itself after approximately 10 minutes. Again, resulting in a perfect picture and lasting until the TV was turned off. Over the course of 2 or 3 weeks, it would take more time upon start up for the problem to fix itself, 15 minutes, 20 minutes, until eventually no amount of time would solve the problem. It is worth mentioning that this occurs on any inputs, and even with no inputs - it is definitely the TV, not a cable or a source problem. I happened upon a similar complaint on your site, where the advice given was to replace the LCD converter, which I did, and the problem is still apparent. Do you have any other solutions that I may try? I would much rather fix this TV instead of buying a new one. Thank you for your time! - Jim D (the article I mentioned is here...) http://www.fixya.com/support/t8380218-samsung_hdtv_ln_t5271f_approx_4_yrs
