Lost the code sheet to my sanyo tv and my panasonic vcr

I am sending you links to all the codes I have found so far.Older style TV's have 3 digit codes and flat panels USUALLY have 4 digits.VCR codes are 3 digit codes. No matter what brand the universal remote is,the TV codes are just about a universal number also.Make a list. Some of the links are newer and probably have repeat numbers but contain a couple extra codes. The first 3 links are 3 digit TV codes. The last is 4 digits for flat panels.A couple of the lists also have VCR codes,a couplr are TV only.If any codes do not work for either one, just reply back here and let me know and I will get an autolink to your post and I will reply ASAP.Also,I would like to know if the TV is a flat screen or not so I can research further.Good luck! Open the back of the TV,and look at the can shaped items on the board that the power cord is hooked to.If any of them have the tops,or bottoms bulged out, they need to be replaced. This should get it working again. So far I have fixed four of the same make, and model TV as this, and they all had either one,or two bad capacitors.I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, please let me know.Thank You very much!

Hook up

Have you changed the input on your television to reflect what port on your tv you plugged it into? You say the color codes match so you didn't use the coax. So I assume your most likely plugged into line 1 or 2 of your tv. If you have a snowing picture or you see a tv show, your not on the right input.

Tv want show

Look at the back of your TV.  Make sure your cable is hooked up to connector on far right, NOT the far left. (For analog cable TV.)

Push "source" button on remote or side of TV to cycle through TV inputs.  Wait one second between pushes.  You want to stop just before the source that displays "AV" on TV screen.  It should show a number, for the current channel number.

If you are using an analog cable box, try setting the TV channel to 3 or 4.  If you use no cable box, try changing channels on TV to find an active one.  If no luck, make sure your cable service is active (subscription active).  Cable companies disconnect it between residents of an apartment/house.

Select Language

With electronics sources or monitors, asking a language preference is a first or early step in initial programming. To analyze the source of the "which language " request--dis-connect the cable box temporarily and hook up signal direct to tv.If ? is still there, the tv is asking it. If ? is gone, then the source box was asking. Any further assistance needed, please let me know.
