SOURCE: Doubled accent with single keystroke (using Language Bar)

It's just a glitch that may happen from time to time. The first thing is to reboot, and more likely than not it will be gone.

My computer keyboard will not let me type the same letter in succession without a delay. How do I fix it?

It may be an easy fix.
Go into the control panel and find the 'keyboard icon' and double click to open it.

You can change the keystroke rate - in your case just try making it a bit faster.

How do I correct a long delay before typing double letters, backspacing, or deleting

Dear Louise,
G'day from New Zealand! Fist: Start > Control Panel > Keyboard > adjust settings. If this does not fix it, then it could be that the keyboard driver(s) are corrupted: reinstall. I hope that this helps! GBU! - Bruce.

While typing keyboard letters ,it is typed double letters

Go under CONTROL PANEL then KEYBOARD and adjust the sensitivity. It is probably set too high, thus repeating keystrokes.

  1. Click Start
  2. Click Control Panel
  3. Click the Ease of Access heading.
  4. Click Change how your keyboard works.
  5. Remove all the check mark in the box next to "Turn on Filter Keys".

I believe your laptop's keyboard has gone bad & needs to be replaced.
On e-bay.com, a new keyboard for your laptop model is around US$ 25 to US$ 45.
