I spoke to Overhead directly and they indicated that the HomeDepot Klick remote doesn't work with the older Overhead versions. They sold me a remote that worked for a cheaper price so I should have checked with them in the first place.
Now I'm happy after several days of frustration!

I have a Master Mechanic Garage Door opener that I am trying to use a Genie Master Remote to operate. What steps do I need to take to operate the door with the Genie Remote?

You have to pair the remote with the opener, which will require the opener manual because you have to put the opener in programming mode.

How to sync garage door on 2014 rav4

The system on your toyota is called homelink. The process depends on the year/ make of your opener. To program remote to car, first press and hold button on car until light begins to flash slowly. This may be immediate or it may take 20-30 seconds. Without releasing that button, press the button on the remote while holding it > 3" from the button on the car and release when the light on the car button begins to flash rapidly. The next step can be tricky. If the opener is a genie or overhead door brand, press the learn button on the opener once. Then within 30 seconds, press the button on the car 3 times slowly. The door should move. You may have to do this step more than once as these brands have a touchy reciever system. If the opener brand is chaimberlain, craftsman, liftmaster, raynor aviator/pilot, follow the same steps as for the genie, except pressing the button twice, slowly. The door should move. For marantec openers, this step is not necessary. If you have and older style opener with dip-switch pairing, read manual, its complicated and would be too difficult to help on this site. Good luck!

How to program ct 68a remote

Text from manual below. Pictures of manual attached.

TO"LEARN" A FIX CODE PROGRAM FROM ANOTHER UNIT:
1. Press and hold both buttons (1 & 2) on the SPR. The LED will flash three times. Keep holding {for about five
seconds) until the LED flashes again (twice), indicating that it's ready to duplicate your garage door opener's
code. Release both buttons (Fig. 1 ).
2. Place your existing garage door remote and the SPR unit within an inch of each other. Press and hold the
first button on the existing unit while pressing button 1 on the SPR unit. The LED will flash, indicating that it
is learning. Keep holding the buttons until the LED light goes out. At this point, the SPR unit has duplicated
the code (Fig. 2).
3. Follow Step 2 to duplicate another code.
4. Exit the learning mode after duplicating codes by pressing and holding both buttons on the SPR unit. The
LED will flash once to indicate that you have exited learning mode. Examine the unit to see if your codes
were duplicated completely.

TO EXAMINE CODES:
If the remote is programmed correctly, the LED stays lit while the button is pressed.
If code duplication has failed, the LED will flash when the button is pressed. Follow Step 1 again if duplication
has failed.

TO LEARN GENIE ROLLING CODES:
Genie rolling codes require special additional instructions to program. Once step 1 through step 4 of the Fixed Code
Instructions are completed, you must do the following:
A. Pra•ce the SPR on the top surface near the rear of the original Genie
Remote instead of setting the two units side by side during Step 2 of the
Fixed Code Instruction; shown as Fig. 3
B: Press the Learn Code Button on the Genie Unit. The LED on it will keep
flashing.
C: Press the program button on the SPR. The LED on the Genie Unit will stop
flashing and become a solid glow
D: Press the same button on the SPR for the second time- turning off the
LED light on Genie Unit and finish the Genie Code Duplication.
E: Follow the EXAMINE CODE section of the fixed code instruction to test code duplication.
F. Follow the above steps if you wish to duplicate another Genie Code on your SPR.
NOTE:
If the first time you only programmed one button on your SPR, and you would like to program the second button later
on, either with FIXED CODE or GENIE ROLLING CODE, you will have to REPEAT step one of the fixed code
instruction to enter the leaning mode; then follow the instruction listed previously. After duplication, you will have to
repeat step 4 of the fixed code instruction for exit learning mode as well. This is very important.

How to program garage opener

SORRY,

Chamberlain key pads won't work with a genie receiver.

You will need to echange it for a Genie brand.
Also be sure what frequency your Genie is - They have changed the frequency a couple of years ago.

Have a 3 Genie remote and the center button works in programming one garage door, but the side buttons will not work to program the other garage door. Can you help?

The other opener has to be a genie, compatible genie to be exact. An older one will not work with new devices. If it will not program it will be the openers fault not the remote. Thanks BB
