Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

You can't really, unfortunately It is the bearing behind the basket (spin basket) and it is a non-serviceable part outside of replacing the complete outer tub assembly as shown here...
i.e.

my lg1832cw washing machine sounds - macmarkus_458.jpg

As you can see the bearing is pressed into the outer tub. Once you get it appart you'll need to inspect the spider gear of the inner basket as well and if it is worn and scored (likely will be if the bearing is toast) i.e.
macmarkus_459.jpg

I can guide you step by step on "how to" both access this and repair it, but I think you'd be better served if I send you a complete service manual for your washer, it's up to you...whatever you think will best serve you.

You will need to provide an email address I can attach the "pdf" service manual to if you decide you indeed want it. I'll watch for your post and we can go from there.

Thank's for visiting FixYa today. Good luck.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

    Hello Radnel,

There is no additional cost for me to provide you with the service manual.

The only cost is what you pay here at FixYa for a solution to your inquiry. You accept the solution and I get paid, it's that simple.

You can wait to accept my solution until you receive the email that I will send off as soon as I post this reply.

As for replacing the washer, that's a judgment call. I'd ask myself

1 ) WHAT DID YOU PAY FOR IT ?

    2 )HOW LONG AGO/ITS AGE ?

3)WHAT IS THE CONDITION OF THE UNIT OVERALL ?

    Regards,

    Macmarkus :)

Your problem is a bearing of inner tub may also need spider assembly caused by overloading using non HE detergent 0r to much soap if noise gets worst it will take out seal and will start leaking thru-back side under stater motor that you call generator
Remove stater drum by holding inner drum and taking rear nut of stater drum after removing drum UN plug wire connections remove 4 bolts holding coil . then remove front of washer remove all counter waits remove all bolts from outer tub remove shocks remove springs and drain and vent hoses pull out the whole basket from unit pull tub in half remove inner tube Pop out both bearings back and front replace with new bearing and seal reverse back together same way you take apart may take 2 people heavy stuff

Frigidaire dishwasher noticeably louder - circulation motor?

Try to position the machine, so that you can run the cycle and watch the dish washer. Remove the back panel and hear the sound of origination. Take suitable action as per your convenience. You can clean & replace the bearings if they are worn or replace as a whole unit.

My dryer makes a squeaky sound during adrying

the front guides around the drum or the bearing at the back may be failing partially or bearings in the motor may have started to noise, there is also the chance that the belt idle pulleys have started to wear, more than lightly it is the belt idle pulleys that have dried up or the bushings have started to wear

Spin cycles are becoming lowder and lowder

Tub back bearing or motor bearing worn.
the tub back seal has probably leaked and dried out the bearing

When washer goes into spin cycle it sounds like a grinding noise that is very laud like a dry bearing very laud

This sounds like it's your clutch that is worn out and rubbing metal to metal. It has pads similar to a centrifugal clutch in small motors like chain saws etc. Your model number is needed for more information.
It's usually stamped on a small tag in a visible location on your appliance.

Washer-Dryer- behind or on top of the control panel. Behind the door. On the lower front or side of the cabinet.

Spins only with manually start /spin sounds like jet engine

Throw this machine out; it is a piece of junk. Transmission shaft is probably scored up so new bearings will do you no good. I cannot see your repyl due to some tech issue w/ the site, so it may be a day or so before I can reply again. Please leave feedback for me if appropriate. Thanks

Noisy

Hi,

This will be either the motor bearings or the main drum bearing.

To find out, you need to take the back off, remove the belt, and spin the drum and motor by hand, and see which one squeeks.

My bet is the drum bearing. Good if it is as it's cheaper than a motor.

Look online for replacement parts HERE

You need to check if it is the right part for your machine, and may be cheaper elswhere.

It is a job for a competent DIY'er or technician. If you are unsure, employ the services of a domestic repair technician.

Thank you for using Fixya!
