Hello bob...this problem is almost always due to rust, dirt, spider webs etc. in these components that said, remove all of the removable parts from within the grill and clean them up with a wire brush and a shop vac or use a compressor to blow the debris out of them then reassemble them and it should light. I have a brinkmann 3 burner grill, the middle burner flames, but the outside ones do not, i just bought it today. How do I light the outside burners?

I am not sure, but I think the Brinkman uses the ignitor to light one burner and the other burners light after the first one allowing the flame to "crossover".

The problem lies with the grill's regulator and how the gas tank valve was opened.

To solve this problem, first be sure you have adequate gas in the tank. If that checks out OK, do the following:

1. Turn the gas tank valve OFF and disconnect the hose from the tank.

2. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank.

3. Open the tank valve VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow).

4. Once the tank valve is fully open, light the burner farthest from the tank first and set the burner
control knob on HIGH. Does the flame height look correct for being set on HIGH? If so, light
the remaining burners the same way. Do all the burner flames look correct? If so, you solved
the problem. Remember, to always open the tank valve Very, Very Slowly.

If that didn't solve the problem, you will need to replace the grill's Hose/Regulator Assembly. It runs about $30.00 at any home center or hardware store that sells grills & accessories. If you replace it, turn the tank valve ON Very, Very Slowly.

Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Happy Grilling!!
Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Weber grill one row of burner does not light

A clogged burner possible caused by an insect nest, or the pathway is disrupted for the pilot flame to travel to the next burner, or stopped up or face.

My grill will no longer lights all three rows. I

My Weber is almost as old as yours and I had a similar problem. I removed the grates and cleaned the inside and checked the holes along the sides of the burners. The burners tend to build up cooking residue along the edge a restrict the gas flow. Try an aggreesive cleaning of the interior.

As you light additional burners, flame dies down to almost nothing

did this problem just start? if so check your regulator or the main line for a crimp or obstruction.
