Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: My daughter purchased a Steam iron Make

Don a thermo fuse can generally be bought at an electronics parts store or Radio Shack type outlet in the hobby parts area. Like any other fuse they are rated specific to the requirement of the appliance, do NOT use a higher temp one.. If you have warranty, ( likely 1 year???), return the iron, If you replace it, it is generally an in line crimp. I would only attempt it once as the iron may be defective.

SOURCE: After Iron is turned on,

Yes, this is the sound generating by the steam escaping from the overpressure valve - this can be caused either by a faulty valve (one that opens too soon) or a faulty pressure switch (the one that should cut the power to the heating coil when the 4 bar pressure is reached) - unrelated to the thermostat that controls the temperature of the iron base.
In either case the faulty part must be replaced and the only ones that have spare parts are the dealers , so you will have to sent it to one of them.
Unfortunately i couldn't find any free service manual online and i cannot upload a factory manual for legal reasons. But it's an very simple system - just open it and all the parts will be easily accessible and testable.

Build up of deposits when steam iron is used, how do you get iron apart ?

You might be able to clean out your steam iron by putting vinegar in instead of water. It has worked on my steam iron as well as my coffee pot.

I have a stirella dual steam iron. At present it is constantly steaming even though the steam button is not clicked in place. How can I fix this?

It sounds like the steam valve inside the iron is stuck open. You have to take the iron apart and free it up by lightly scraping water deposits off it with a screwdriver.

I was getting ready to iron a pair of pants that were polyesterrayon and 4% spandex. I thought I had my Rowenta iron turned down low enough but when I placed the iron on the pants they melted. Well...

First, UNPLUG THE IRON. DO THIS PART COLD. Clean the soleplate with scotch brite and WD-40. Next, you will have to remove the WD-40 residue from the soleplate with something like windex. Make sure you get around the steam holes.
Next-Plug it in and fill it with 50-50 mix of water and white vinegar. Set it for steam and let it run through. Refill it with plain water and steam it out again, until there is NO VINEGAR SMELL. This will clean the deposits out of the tank and steam vents.
