If a piston won'tretract it's usually because of one of the o-rings around the cylinder. Take the gun apart and make sure all of the o-rings on the cylinder didn't get damaged while putting it back together and that they are well coated with gun assembly grease so they slip into place without getting damaged or pushed out of place. Pay particular attention to the o-ring covering the small holes around the center of the cylinder.

Try oiling it first. If it still leaks I would check the seal (reference #11) on this parts diagram.

My senco 1/4" crown air stapler would not drive a staple & now leaks air constantly

It sounds like you have broken or damaged o-rings inside the gun and the only repair is to replace them. Senco does make kits to rebuild most of their guns. Go to and click on 'Parts Charts' at the top of the page then find your model. The PARTS GUIDE will list a rebuild kit if one is available. The part number will start with YK followed by four numbers. If there isn't a rebuild kit available for your gun, you'll have to order each o-ring seperately. All o-ring part numbers start with LB.

I have a senco coil roof nailer that all of a sudden is leaking air big time and will not coil and fire nails. What parts do I need to replace.

depends on where the air is leaking from. If you go to and type in your model number you can look at a breakdown and they will list the rebuild kits specific to the leakage, they make an upper o ring kit and a lower kit for this problem. Let me know if you need more assistance or where the air is leaking along with the model number and I will find a number for the rebuild kit. Also the senco kits have detailed instructions on how to install them.

Air tends to leak near trigger of my senco sls15 1/4" crown stapler . how can i stop it?

You have worn or broken o-rings/seals inside the gun. You need a Senco repair kit YK0393. Senco doesn't make them any more but there are still a few to be found on the internet. If you can't find one, go to the Senco webpage, find the parts breakdown for your gun and order all of the o-rings, seals and gaskets and rebuild your gun.

Your seals are bad. Order you a new rebuild kit.Be careful taking it apart, there are a few springs in the that sometimes fly out. Also lube all the seals and o-rings back up with oil before you reassemble it.

Sns45xp senco dosent shoot anl leak air for the cap

You have worn or broken o-rings in your upper firing and trigger system. You need a Senco repair kit #YK0230 to fix your problem. Fairly easy to do, replace one o-ring at a time to make sure you get them back in place properly and use the grease in the kit liberally. Since you'll have it apart I also recommend you get Senco repair kit #YK0231 which is the lower seals and piston stop. If the upper rings are going bad the lower rings won't be far behind.

My senco air stapler sns50 is blowing air out the top what is wrong with it

You have worn or broken seals/o-rings inside your gun. You need Senco repair kit #YK0375 to fix it. Use all of the parts in the kit and replace each ring one at a time to make sure they go back in the right place. Lube them well with the grease provided in the kit.

The driver does not go back in the cylander

You have worn or broken o-rings in the head of the gun. I can't find a referance to an SLS20K Senco stapler, they do make an SLS20 and SLS20XP and each takes a Senco YK0372 rebuild kit.

I have some air nailers and staplers that have some leaks and aren't working properly. I would like to try rebuilding them, they are bostitch, paslode, and senco. I have found the rebuild kits for trigger...

The kits for the senco guns, have all the o-rings and seals needed to stop most leaks, no hard parts. You have to replace all of them, no oil is needed, but it needs to be clean, some have little tubes of grease for the o-rings. I'm sure the other guns are the same way. Some of them will give you a fit. I had a senco sfn1, totally rebuilt, still leaked, tried it again, still leaked, called senco, they said send it to us, they fixed it for free, but never said what the problem was. Some times the triggers go and you end up building the whole gun for nothing, and the trigger still leaks, they are the toughest to spot. I have seen a lot of complaints about paslode. We tried them all in our shop, and the senco was/is the best, So we fazed out all the other guns and kept the senco, so all the nails were from 1 dealer, all the parts, we weren't looking all over town for a box of staples.
