In most cases irregular sounds comming from HDD(Hard disk drive) mean reading failure. Clicking noise usually means that disk head is having trouble reading data, it could be just a small fraction of info lost if it's only a few sectors, but if the drive is unrecognized after plugging it in and clicks all the time it's most likely a complete HDD head fault. Data recovery of such faulty drive is expensive and requires special tools and knowledge.

Hey just got an Atari of eBay and it works bit there a Stange popping noise and the picture jumps a bit and colors change. If you have any idea how I can fix this let me know. Thanx

Well the noise might be the ac adapter thats causing the problem then and clean the gamepacks out with qutips and rubbing alcohal. Always buy consoles from reptuable sellers because the stuff will generally work better.

2002 mercury mountaineer had a grinding noise when i backed up and turned the wheel to the right, I took it to the ford dealer and they said my transfer case, tie rod on one side and my brakes and bearings...

I would take it back and tell them you just spent 3k and they didn't fix it. And you dont feel it should cost you anymore for them to fix it. If it is making a noise how can they say there is nothing wrong? Could be as simple as a brake backing plate rubbing the brake rotor. It may have got bent slightly when they replaced the bearings and other parts.

My mic continues to make a buzzing noise. I just bought it and barely used it. It was working perfectly and then it started doing it. It works sometimes but not anymore. when I hold it in my hand it...

this problem need to be fixed, your microphone need to unlock it, and see if there is any piece in a wrong position, try to isolate each piece, without cutting any wires, it seems like a hard process but its not that hard, and remember you should do this unless you are sure that there is no shallow problem like the wire that is plugged onto the computer, see if its appropriately inserted id not do the process yourself.

Just had my 2000 Beetle in for a general tune up - nothing wrong - and now the coolant light is beeping and flashing red. Is it safe to drive it back to the mechanic?

All VW engines need to have the cooling system bled of all air after refilling.its safe as long as you dont hear any stange noises and you carry a bottle of water after youve checked its full.

Bad Rod?

you can fix it. you shouldn't drive the car anymore to prevent damaging other parts. it sounds like a spun bearing, which is cause when the bearing doesn't recieve enough oil. the bearings are usually in a fixed position with the crankshaft rotating between them. the knocking noise is from the bearing wearing down from lack of oil, and they start rotating with the crank.

it might not be worth fixing because the cost of fixing it may be more than what the car is worth.
