How do I stop fluff cycles on kenmore elite dryer

There are two ways this can happen:

1. You set the timer to a cycle that activates this option
2. (If equipped) Turn the selector knob off on the control panel that you can activate this feature with. Every manufacturer calls it something different.

Control knob is out of order. Put on normal wash cycle and it goes into rinse or spin. How do you get it back on track???

Hi

The issue seems to be with the timer that is bad and should be replaced, everything else is working fine as even it works on drain/spin mode so motor and door lock assembly is fine and replacing the timer control motor is best option. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

I have a Kenmore 70 Series dryer that started up then after a few minutes it quit altogether. Power is there, timer doesn't tick anymore like it used to (when you close the door but don't push the start...

Check for continuity of the thermal fuse located in the back next to the cycling thermostat (its white) You also need to make sure your breaker hasn't tripped or partially tripped. Try turning the breaker all the way off then back on. If those things are ok your next step is to check to make sure the belt isn't broken.

Dryer stops but the timer continues on

Fixed! The "push to start" button was stuck. Must have been some dust. I pushed the knob a few times and that's all it took. Works fine now.

Kenmore 70 series dryer control/timer knob doesn't turn when running

THE TIMER HAS A SMALL DRIVE MOTOR THAT TURNS THE TIMER AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS FOR DIFFERENT CYCLES AND VARIES FROM BRAND TO BRAND BUT EITHER WAY YOU MUST REPLACE THE TIMER , EXPENSIVE FIX IF THE DRYER IS WORTH IT THAT SHOULD TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEM

Dishwasher problem

If the cycle doesn't complete, check these:
1. Water-heating cycle
2. Timer

Water-heating cycle
Many dishwashers heat the wash and/or rinse water to a higher temperature, as the cycle calls for it. In these cycles, the dishwasher pauses after it has filled with water, waiting for the water to reach the pre-set temperature. What happens next, depends, as follows:

On some units, the pause is timed and the unit continues after the allotted time.

On others, the cycle can't continue until the water reaches the higher temperature. If you have this type of dishwasher and the water isn't being heated (say, because of a problem with the heating element or thermostat), after the unit stops at the heating cycle, it never continues. When you repair the heating-system problem, the "cycle problem" is fixed too.

Timer
Timers don't often fail. But if every other part of the dishwasher seems to be working properly and the timer knob seems to be stuck in one place--doing one function continuously--the timer may be at fault. Dishwasher timers can't be repaired. If yours is defective, replace it.

Kenmore Electric Dryer..Timer runs backwards only sometimes.

Probablyl the timer motor. Synchonosous motors that run these timers have a internal part that insure they always start the same direction.

My Push Start Relay or Control Knob is not starting the Dryer

is this the even heat model? if it is you need a new control board on the back of the timer area and might as well buy a couple relays the black ones with 4 wires in them. one is for the pts and the other is a heater relay both are the same part
