Question about Vitek Home Security

Open Question

Where can i find a schmatic on the Vitek VT-E8 DVR. Recently at our church after a severe lighting storm it wiped out a camera. Camera was replaced but the DVR (model mentioned above) channel for that camera was also knocked out. I would like to secure a schmatic for the DVR so that I won't have to ship it out and be without our security system

New fittings (terminations) should be available from your local electronics store. They would require crimping onto the cable or soldering although I have seen a variety that screws on.

I have a sentient cctv dvr from Maplin I can view it on my phone at home which is fine I wanted to know if I can view camera footage when I'm not at home etc. at work

Yes you can definitely view your CCTV footage on your mobile phone at your work via internet. Sentient CCTV DVR basically is a night vision camera. You must know the IP of the camera and IP Video server. Connecting your phone to CCTV camera via the protocol you can view the CCTV footage's in your phone. Night vision cameras are used for surveillance purpose. I would prefer cctv camera with ir illuminator for good image quality in the night time that will clear footage quality in my phone.
Recently many new applications have also being launched by security cameras with a view to solve problem you mentioned.

'card protected' vivitar DVR 925 hd ive already unlocked the sd card and it still reads card protected?

I recommend you move the switch on the SD card back and forth several times. Occasionally, they do not make good contact, and this will hopefully wipe any impurities off the connections.

If this does not help, try a different SD card. Fortunately, they are not too expensive these days, and you can often find sales for a 4 gigabyte card for $10 or less.

If that doesn't help, the problem is in the camera. If it is no longer under warranty, you may have to get it professionally repaired. Depending on how much you paid for the camera, it may not be worth it, however. Be sure to get an estimate of the repair cost before agreeing to have it done.

Good luck!

My camera worked very recently, as I took pictures on a camping trip. However, a few days later after getting back, I've found that it refuses to turn on. If I turn it to either Video or Photo, the light...

Here are the steps for the no power problem: 1. Make sure you will install a new or fully charged battery/batteries into your camera. Please use lithium batteries Ni-Mh or rechargeable Batteries (2000 M.Amp or higher). 2. Clean the battery contacts. a. Remove the battery/batteries and the memory card from your camera, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth. b. Reinstall the battery/batteries into your camera 3. Turn on your camera without the memory card. (If it works then it?s your memory card that is faulty)

My camera won't turn on.

If you've recently dropped the camera you may have lens damage that is causing the camera to shut down. If you haven't dropped it, your problem may be due to weak/worn out batteries or corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, your batteries may need to be replaced, or the camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.

Fuji finepix s1000 zoom error lens is stuck out what can I do???

If you recently dropped the camera, you may have damaged the lens housing -- that will require professional repair. Otherwise, your problem may be as simple as low batteries or corrosion on the battery terminals inside the camera. Make sure that the batteries are fresh/fully charged. If the problem persists, remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and replace them in the camera. This cleaning works about 90% of the time, and I hope it clears up your problem.

You might be able to buy a replacement or universal adapter at your local CircuitCity or Best Buy. If you can find one there, may I suggest that you contact the camera's manufacturer.

Recently this happened to me just as I was walking in a church to shoot a wedding (major bummer). I had to rush and get my film backup for this. Anyway, this problem has ocurred with several examples of the S2 pro including mine, one other than mine that I know personally. The problem is the sensor. I quickly shipped to Fuji and they fixed the problem. I just got my camera back and so far it is working fine. Time will tell. I had to pay for the shipping only and turnaround was quick (1 week). By the way the camera was already out of warranty, but they gave a 3 month warranty after the repair.
